I am planning to order my tickets for MVMCP today - (Dec 1st) - It is the start of my father/daughter chistmas shopping weekend.

but I need some opinions - I have never eaten at Tony's and I am not sure its' prices interest me that much. I go to some great Italian restaurants here at home and I am starting to get picky about it. is it worth the value?

I land at 2pm in Orlando - so I have time to either eat somewhere else - or at the MK...

Any opinions? Do you like Tony's and find it worth the value? Is there another restaurant that is easy to travel to MK afterwards that is a better idea? (we are doing LTT before MNSSHP - so that is the reason I am not thinking that way.)

Any advice each of you can give would be great.
Thanks
Laura

Ok, here is my honest opinion.... Tony's is YUCK! I love italian food but that was just bad! We had bad service and bad food. It is the one WDW restaurant that I wouldn't return to!

Where are you staying for the weekend? I'm sure there has got to be a better choice to eat at. If you must eat in MK and are already doing LTT then I would suggest Plaza Restaurant (the sit down one).

pirate: I've seen mixed reviews about Tony's. I guess it's best to try it yourself. We are planning to try it during our night of MNSSHP. I too have eaten at alot of Italian restaurants at home. Hey, are you from the same smallest state that I'm from? LOL.

Laura - I would make another choice. Compared to the Italian restaurant choices we have in RI, this does not even begin to compare.....I would even put Olive Garden ahead of Tony's....DH and I ate there one night on our honyemoon and while it was not terrible, it was nothing memorable and it was grossly overpriced. Never tried Plaza Restaurant but heard good things about it....good luck and have fun :)

We've been to Tony's twice, and after the last time we made the decision not to dine there again. We thought the food was mediocre and definitely not worth the price. Normally I suggest that people try any restaurant that sounds good to them regardless of other people's experiences. But from what you've said (you are used to good Italian food and are concerned about value) I really don't think Tony's is the place for you.

If you aren't interested in Crystal Palace or Cinderella's Royal Table, the monorail resorts are convenient to MK and have some great restaurants. Kona Cafe is one of our favorites. There's also Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse, 'Ohana, Narcoossee's or Citrico's.

pirate: Yes, let's hear it for the Italian restaurants in RI! They are sooooooo good!

Thanks for the advice - I think I will stay away from Tony's then - and I am so excited to see a few RIers on here - HEHE :)

Federal Hill has spoiled me for Italian food what can I say!
Thanks
Hugs,
Laura

Tony's has a great atmosphere. We just came home form WDW and ate at Tony's our first night. We had a great waiter and some great food.
