I'm not sure if I understand your question -- if the park is closing, they won't make you leave, if that's what you mean. Even after the rides shut down and it's closing time, everyone has quite a long time to get out of the park. Sometimes the shops stay open and it can be one of our favorite times at the MK. If that's not what you meant, let me know!:D

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you asking whether or not you have to leave a nice tip for the waiter for your meal if you get in on time? Are you asking that if you don't get in on time can you leave a small tip? If the service is good, you need to leave a nice tip, whether you get in on time or not. When you get seated has nothing to do with the servers. 15 to 20% is the norm.

Is your PS time for 7:30 or 5:45? If you clarify your question alittle better, we'll be able to help.

And a little side note, typing in all capitals is the same as yelling!!

I think what she's asking (correct me if I'm wrong here) is:

If she has a PS at 5:45 but wants to stay for the parade (which doesn't start until much later) will they make her leave after they finish their meal? From what I gathered from the message, she is travelling with her 6 yo and her 80 yo mom.

I can understand your wanting to stay and see Spectromagic. It is truly amazing. I can also understand your not wanting to have your mother fight the crowds just to see it. ;) I would suggest taking the 5:45 PS (which, by the way, doesn't mean you'll actually sit down at 5:45; it just means you'll get the next available table). Then, order an appetizer. When you're done with that, order your entree. When you're done with that, order your dessert. When you're done with that, maybe order some coffee. Draw out the dinner; don't order everything at once. Take your time.

Now, some suggestions regarding Spectromagic:
1. Check to make sure Spectromagic is actually going to happen the night you are going to be at Tony's/MK. It's usually only on Tuesdays and weekends. You can check this on the disney site or call Disney directly.

2. Once you confirm it's on the night you'll be there, find out what time it's at. Probably around 8:45 or so. That will help you plan your meal. Frankly, with my party of 6 we'll easily take 2+ hours to eat at this nice restaurant. We relax and discuss our magical day at the parks while indulging in wonderful food.

Hope that helps.

I guess you're right, I was reading the question incorrectly!

The only problem with drawing out dinner for way too long is it's technically not fair to others who have PS at Tony's for that same night. I'm not saying that you should rush through your meal so that you can give up your table for someone else to eat, but taking a couple of hours to eat at Tony's is just a tad long in my opinion. I find they tend to give you your food on the quicker side here and if that's the case, it may be very hard to justify sitting there past a few hours. If her PS is for 5:45 and the parade is at 8:45, how can you justify taking a table for 3 plus hours?

Mary,
Maybe the reason that they won't take PS after 5:45 is that the park is closing early that day and the parades, etc are therefore earlier. Have you checked to see what time Magic Kingdom is open that day? If it's later, call back and try for a later PS time. It sometimes pays to call back and there are some Cast Members who do indeed make mistakes.
One thing you will learn on this board, don't always take the first answer that you get. Be persistant and keep on trying back and a lot of the times you end up getting what you wish for!
