Hey everyone, I just recieved my wedding planning kit from my coordinator today, and now I have a TON of questions. I've lurked the boards for a while now and have seen so many wonderful people answering questions, so hopefully you guys can help me too! Forgive me if I am doing this wrong but here we go..

1. Music- Does anyone have any samples of the violin music?
2. Is the first dance song played by a violinist too?
3. Does the violinist play during the entire time we are at SBP?

Flowers-

1. I know I can bring my own bouquets, but how about petals for the flower girl?

2. Has anyone made their own artificial corsage and boutineres?

Setting up-

1. Am I able to bring my own favors since we won't be having anything after the ceremony?

2. Can I have someone give out programs and such before the ceremony?

3. I am planning on having a sand ceremony.. Is there room on the table to put 2 picture frames to remember our lost loved ones? Is that allowed?

Photos-

1. Has anyone just stuck to the minimum with these? I know people will be taking a lot of pictures, I just am trying not to go over budget by adding on.
2. Are the proofs or whatever you get covered with the word proof? I am hoping there will be somewhere that people can see the images to decide if they want to order after.

3. If I did a MK photo shoot, am I going to be rushed if I have a 10am ceremony? I just didnt want to get my hair and makeup done twice if possible.

I think thats it for now, sorry for all the questions, I am hoping someone can help answer these! TIA!

1. Music- Does anyone have any samples of the violin music? Sorry I don't have any, but maybe you can find something on youtube. They seem to have everything.
2. Is the first dance song played by a violinist too?
I believe it is, since they play during the ceremony and cake celebration.
3. Does the violinist play during the entire time we are at SBP?
My contract read violinist for ceremony and cake celebration.
Flowers-

1. I know I can bring my own bouquets, but how about petals for the flower girl? You can bring personal floral including those for the flower girl, but if petals are being tossed they must be real.

2. Has anyone made their own artificial corsage and boutineres? I haven't personally because I'm far from crafty, but I've seen others have.

Setting up-

1. Am I able to bring my own favors since we won't be having anything after the ceremony? No clue here

2. Can I have someone give out programs and such before the ceremony?
From what I understand, you can bring your own programs and hand them out.
3. I am planning on having a sand ceremony.. Is there room on the table to put 2 picture frames to remember our lost loved ones? Is that allowed?
If you look through some of the other threads you will see many couples have set up pictures in memory of loved ones.

I'm sure there are some that have. DPS offers a package you might be interested in that includes a high resolution disk that includes ALL wedding day photos along with some prints for $900. This might be something to think about if you are considering the MK shoot.
2. Are the proofs or whatever you get covered with the word proof? I am hoping there will be somewhere that people can see the images to decide if they want to order after. I could be wrong here, but I believe Disney has them online for others to order using your name and password.

3. If I did a MK photo shoot, am I going to be rushed if I have a 10am ceremony? I just didnt want to get my hair and makeup done twice if possible.
We have opted to do our MK/Epcot shoot on the same day because I really hated the thought of having to pay someone a second time to fix flowers, do hair and makeup, steam my dress, etc. It's going to be a LONG day, but so worth it. :) I spoke to Karen Chandler from DPS and she assured me we would have plenty of time to do both before the wedding. They pick you up from the hotel at 6am, and you have an hour session (per park if you are doing multiple).

I am by far not an expert, but I know how anxious I always am waiting for a response, so I did the best I could to answer you with what I know. (or think I know) HTH

I just used YouTube to refresh my memory on what all the music sounded like...you don't really need to hear the "violin-only" version. Some of the songs I was like "oh yeah, THAT one! Love it!" :thumbsup2

We just recently had an Escape VR and the violinist was wonderful! Yes, he did play the first dance song. He played the entire time during the Cake and Champagne celebration when there wasn't something else going on like the toast or cake cutting. It really added an elegance to the event.

2. Is the first dance song played by a violinist too?

Yes

1. Am I able to bring my own favors since we won't be having anything after the ceremony?

Yes

2. Can I have someone give out programs and such before the ceremony?

You can assign one of your friends or family members.

Escape couples have the option to give up the small album and prints that come with the package and add an archival disc of ALL images from the wedding and any portrait sessions (like the MK portrait session) for $300. Then you can make your own prints and albums for far less than Disney charges.

2. Are the proofs or whatever you get covered with the word proof?

No

Check out Carrie's latest podcast - its all about Escape Weddings and makes for really good listening :thumbsup2 http://disneyweddingpodcast.com/

Also, have you thought about putting a picture of a passed loved one on their own chair at your ceremony with a rememberance rose? I think this is a lovely memorial to those who you have lost.

Thank you ladies for all your help, I knew I came to the right place for answers to my questions :)

I am still looking for samples of the songs so I can get a feel for the violin sounding of the songs. I am not used to the whole instrumental thing and want to make sure the songs can be recognized. If anyone knows anything on Youtube, something that be dowloaded, whatever. I would be very greatful!

A few more questions about the flowers.. how much do they let you change things without charging a fortune? I am looking at doing the first example in the escape packet with the 2 different colored pink roses. First, how many flowers are in the bouquet? Would I be able to take out a few roses and add a few of those white flowers (not sure what they are called) to add some crystal mickeys to? How much are the mickeys?

As far as the photos go.. I just want to clarify, if I forefit the album with the package, I can pay $300 to get all my photos on a cd? Does anyone know the price of the cd if I still wanted the album or a price I could buy the album separately? (I like the idea of having a nice personalized album)

Thank you so much for all your help, you have all made me even more excited than I already was!!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We specifically asked about the archive disk, because I swore I read somewhere we could get all our pictures on it and print them out. For some reason I thought it was $1000, not $300!!!

When we were told about the photo package which included all 4X6 photos, an 11x14 portrait, either a 5x7 or 8x10, and a high resolution DVD including all wedding pictures for $900 I was happy. We were told the the archival disk was more for large photos. If it is only $300 though.... I definitely think it is a better option. I am going to message Karen and see if this is available for us. Fingers are crossed this hasn't changed.

For Escape couples, the price of adding a disc to the package (and keeping all the elements) is $750 for hi-res (prints up to 8x12) or $950 for archival (prints up to 30x40). At that point, it's cheaper to just upgrade to their Cinderella D collection, which for $750 gives you a hi-res disc plus one
11x14-inch portrait, in addition to a 4x6-inch print of every image.

You can buy your own personalized album from many retailers online if you have a disc of images to print from. :thumbsup2

It is SUPER confusing. The hi-res disc is $1,000 for Wishes couples and $750 for Escape couples. The archival disc is $1,200 for Wishes couples and $950 for Escape couples.

The $300 disc is only available to Escape couples, and only if they give up all the photo products that come with the Escape package. It is a fantastic value (relatively speaking...).

I am going to message Karen and see if this is available for us. Fingers are crossed this hasn't changed.

It's all up to date as of about 2 weeks ago. :goodvibes

Thank you thank you!

I didn't see the $300 disc as an option in the information they sent me. Did I overlook it or is it not publicly noted and will need to ask my coordinator? I most definitely think if I can pay just $300 to get ALL my pictures including the MK shoot, its definitely worth it, and Carrie, you're right, I can just order an album online since I will have rights to my pictures. One other question.. if I do the park shoots am I forefiting those prints too? No big deal, just would like to know ahead of time.

Also, if anyone has answers to my other questions, I would really appreciate it!

Good morning:) My daughter was married in Disney last November. She had Disney Floral take care of her flowers. She had a few crystals in her bouquet and also a hidden crystal Mickey. They are very inexpensive. I think the Mickey was something like $10. They looked beautiful in her flowers!! I guess the one thing you need to focus on is that Disney is VERY easy to work with. They want you to have the wedding of YOUR dreams. They DO let you bring in your own favors, programs, music etc. My daughter had 2 different floral arrangement on the altar to represent two sets of grandparents who had passed away. The programs were placed in a basket (that Disney provided free) at the back of the pavillion for guests to grab. We made numerous changes to floral and other things to do with the ceremony all the way up to about one month from the wedding date. Disney just simply makes the correction and sends you out the updated cost sheet for you. I made the flower girl basket myself and Disney was perfectly fine with that. One other thing to keep in mind is that you have a minimum expenditure for each kind of Disney wedding. You MUST reach that minimum expenditure, so if you choose to go with anything NOT related to Disney, it WILL NOT count towards your minimum expenditure. Plus it is SO much easier to work things through if say the florist and dj and cake etc are all working through Disney. Disney simply makes all the arrangements for you then. Have fun planning your wedding and best wishes to you both!

It's one of the numerous options they don't put in the photography brochures. You'd just need to talk to the Escape coordinator at Disney Event Photography to get it.

One other question.. if I do the park shoots am I forefiting those prints too? No big deal, just would like to know ahead of time.

Correct: No prints, no nuthin' — except the disc.

How much do they let you change things without charging a fortune?

You can change the colors to any shade found in nature at no extra charge. Any other changes have to be custom quoted by the Escape floral coordinator, since prices vary by flower type and season. You might get an idea of what others paid by going through Escape planning journals here, but there is no standard price for upgrading.

One other thing to keep in mind is that you have a minimum expenditure for each kind of Disney wedding.

Memories and Escape Collection events do not have a minimum expenditure. The only time a minimum kicks in for Escape is if you have your event on Saturday/Sunday or you add a catered event.
