Tonight's the Night

In the fire service we take a loss of life hard but when the loss is that of a child there are no words to describe how we feel. In my twenty plus years I did see many adults perish from fire and I took the loss hard but the one child we were not able to save was the same age as my daughter and that loss will always be with me.
Your precious daughters picture brought tears to my eyes and many memories to a bad day.
May God watch over her and may he bless you and your family for eternity.
I am so very sorry for your loss.

I have no words, I:hug: am sure Macy is watching over you from Heaven. God Bless you during this difficult time.

I can't even begin to imagine the pain you went through, and are still going through. My heart goes out to you.

God bless your angel. My thoughts are with you.

I have to tell you that, although there have been some very sad stories that I've read here on this board, it's human nature not to take them all in and make them a part of every day. How could you bear it?

But... I do think about you and your beautiful daughter on a regular basis. When your story comes into my mind, I try and send a positive thought to you. I'm sure there are many others on this board who do the same.

While only you can walk down this road, I hope that occasionally you will see a butterfly or feel a warm and gentle breeze. Perhaps it will be coming from the loving thoughts of your friends here on the DIS. :grouphug:

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and prayers.

You are often in my thoughts and prayers, but you will be even more so today. This must be very difficult fo you:grouphug:

I too feel your pain. My daughter Jessica (26) died 4/29/06 from a brain aneurysm leaving behind 2 children that were seperated by the courts. I have one with me and have visitation with the other. This is the third child I have buried. I don't like feeling like this - you know like something is broke and can never be put back together.:grouphug:

I have no words of comfort, I'm sorry. But I do have my most heartfelt  and prayers.

I'm sorry for your tremendous loss. I can't even begin to imagine your pain.

I remember when I first learned of your DD death. I can't begin to tell you how brave you are to be able to share your story with us.

It makes you appreciate what you have and never take your children for granted when you realize how quickly life can change.

The first time you posted your DD picture, I think it was a picnic picture, I cried because she reminds me so much of my DD. I can't begin to understand the pain you are going through and I so admire your strength to carry on for your DS.

Please know that you are often in my prayers and I think of you all the time and wonder how you are.

Words can not express how incredibly sorry I am for your loss. I went to Macys page- What an absolutely amazing and beautiful girl. As you suggested on Macys page, I immediately went to my son and made sure he knows the fire escape route and plan. We will be replacing the batteries in the smoke detectors.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
