Tonga Toast Question

It is my understanding that Tonga Toast is available at Captain Cook's in addition to the Kona Cafe. If we are going for breakfast at the Poly (specifically for the Tonga Toast), is there any compelling reason to make an ADR for the Kona Cafe instead of just eating at Captain Cook's? I assume the portion and price are the same at both places? Also, if it matters, we would be eating breakfast as early as possible in either location.

Thanks!

the version at Captain cooks is just the tonga toast with syrup; it's about $6 or so. The version at Kona Cafe is served with strawberry compote & your choice of ham, bacon or sausage, it's more like $10.99. If you're going to the Kona Cafe for breakfast, we found the Big Kahuna a better breakfast & only a dollar more than the tonga toast breakfast - the Big Kahuna is French toast, Macadamia-Pineapple pancakes, eggs, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage .

Either way, we found the Tonga Toast WAY too sweet: there were 3 adults in our party & between the three of us we could not finish the one serving of tonga toast - it was that sweet (and we all have a sweet tooth, too....love those disney desserts!) So, would suggest if you've never had it, you might want to consider splitting it with someone else the first time!

We love the Kona . I go for the Tonga Toast amd the boys get the
Big Kahuna . Love this breakfast a must do every trip.:thumbsup2
