Tonga toast at Captain Cooks

Does the Tonga toast at Captain Cooks come with the strawberry compote sauce or is that only available at Kona Cafe?

Mmmmm...we love tonga toast! Being from NH we are used to real maple syrup but recently noticed small packages of fake syrup since covid. We tapped our own trees as kids and you can't fake the taste. Bring back the real maple syrup LOL!

I felt the same way. I was so excited to try it the first time we stayed at the Poly. It was so dry, I think I put about a gallon of syrup on it.

We loved Tonga Toast so much that we make it at home on very special occasion, however when we had it just this past March at Kona Cafe, it was disgusting. Three tiny slices of banana in the middle, overcooked, and tasting like it had spent a couple hours under a heat lamp as well. There was not enough strawberry compote in the whole cafe to make it enjoyable. Kona coffee was pretty awful, too. It’s been crossed off our list forever, but we will indulge at home!
