What are the chances of me and my mom getting into the dessert party without a ressie?
We're going for my birthday over labor day weekend and I'm hoping for a little pixie dust, but i don't want to get my hopes up

good luck, I hope you find that pixie dust.....sadly i've been trying to get a reservation for either September 11 or 12, but still no luck....:-( we may try to see if we can get in with just walking up...

When I called about my trip, the CM said that it is by reservation only, BUT "it wouldn't hurt to go up to the podium and ask."

I will continue to try and ge my group a ressie...lol..not that we need to do that..we are on DxDP so we are already eating our way through Disney...lol...but thought it would be a very magical experience..

When my daughter and I went, they had every table filled and each reservation had a reserved name tag on the tables. I would keep trying for a reservation. Our table was right up front and Tinkerbell flew right over our heads...a neat experience, but wouldn't do it again. Good luck!

I would say not real good. They don't hold back tables for walk-ups so if there are no ADRs that night, all tables are currently booked. And you have to pay by credit card when you make the ADR, which should significantly discourage no-shows.
