I guess if you want to pay for a place to hang out that has fun views of the Park from that angle, it might be worth it to you. Don’t pay for it thinking that you’ll have some amazing view of the fireworks. You won’t. And, you’ll miss the projections.
When Disney first launched this experience, both Mickey and Minnie came out together to visit us at the Lounge. THAT was worth it, we got pics with the couple and the nighttime Tomorrowland background.
I personally think there are better ways to spend your time & money within the Parks.
For Fantasmic dining packages, you will be sitting on the ground, or standing in the back of the section. Everyone in that section is asked to stand for fireworks. It seems like all the other dining packages I’m reading about include lining up super early & and being moved from your seat to a crowded sitting on the ground situation
Where? I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a kid & im trying to figure out if it’s possible to get a decent fireworks show in a more relaxed setting.I can get a really nice meal for $70 per person and watch the fireworks from elsewhere. You are getting a $12 lunch and paying $58 for location which in all honestly isnt that great anyway. Money grab
Well, sorry but there really aren’t a lot of options at DL…VIP tour has been mentioned, those are primo seats. If fireworks are that important, you can always snag a good bench about 3 hours ahead of time, bring a book and camp out. Seen a lot of people do that.Where? WOC dessert package gives you a seat and a dessert plateI mean where you can have a nice meal and watch…something. Fireworks, Fantasmic, World of Color, a parade - I’m not picky. I’m just wondering if there are any options to eat w/ a reserved seat and be entertained w/o the stress of staking out a spot, camping out in line, or being really crowded.
Thanks!WOC dessert package gives you a seat and a dessert plate
Pixar Fest Parade dining package gives you a seat and a dessert plate
Plaza Inn occasionally offers parade or fireworks packages with viewing from the patio
River Belle Terrace offers a premium dining package with viewing from the patio
I booked it as well after seeing a TikTok about how great it was… but they didn’t show the food and made it seem like it was a great place to relax and view the fireworks The main reason I booked is because there aren’t an reservations available at Plaza Inn for dining packages staring on the 14th of July going through the 16th of August right now and no explanation as to why.Yikes! I booked this for our upcoming trip, after reading about it here, and seeing that sad meal on Instagram, I just canceled. I know Disney's main business model is to grab at our pockets non stop, but this is going too far.
And imagine how you’d feel about it if they fireworks were canceled … which happens frequently at certain times of the year.I booked it as well after seeing a TikTok about how great it was… but they didn’t show the food and made it seem like it was a great place to relax and view the fireworks The main reason I booked is because there aren’t an reservations available at Plaza Inn for dining packages staring on the 14th of July going through the 16th of August right now and no explanation as to why.
And you’re right they are going too far with these costs. Heck one person really put it into perspective of the cost being the same as getting 4 LLs per person.
So glad these discussion boards are available for all us to get and give honest recommendations/reviews and help!
I’m about to cancel my reservations as well. That a lot of $$ back in our pockets for other things
I would be beyond pissed!! Now I feel better about canceling it. The fireworks were cancelled 2 years ago on our last night thank goodness my kiddos got to watch them our first night there after F!And imagine how you’d feel about it if they fireworks were canceled … which happens frequently at certain times of the year.
At DL, never save fireworks for your last night as your only viewing opportunity. They get cancelled with such frequency you want to give yourself multiple chances to see them.I would be beyond pissed!! Now I feel better about canceling it. We didn’t wait till the last night to watch the fireworks. Saw them our first night after F! Plus 3 additional times. And I do know that they are frequently canceled. We did the Main Street electrical parade our last night and the fireworks were canceled. We were there for the parade and watching the fireworks one last time.At DL, never save fireworks for your last night as your only viewing opportunity. Yeah I’ve seen quite a few posts about the fireworks being canceled. And it sucks for those folks who are only there for one or two nights and don’t get to see them. The wind thing is controlled by the Anaheim fire department but has gotten out of control. Been there several times when there is about zero wind on the ground and they cancel. I think it is power move probably to turn over more control to the Anaheim Fire Department for the parks .
I was there once when a pine tree by IASW caught on fire from the fireworks. The wind wasn't much on the ground, but apparently it was gusty higher up. Better safe than sorry, though it is a bummer when they have to cancel. The wind thing is controlled by the Anaheim fire department but has gotten out of control.
