So if all goes well tomorrow, Gary is going to take me to a Target for the very first time, We have never seen one! We have to drive about an hour! (did i tell ya they are building one here where I live) :goodvibes

So Yes I am exctied.. :cloud9: This is what I want to do for my Birthday. Afterwards we are going to go to The Country Buffet to eat, I have not been there since before my transplant.

This is a big outting for me, as I have not been well enough or able to really get out to much in the past 19 months! Oh did I tell you guy's I am feeling pretty good. Hoping for a "Great" Day tomorrow!

Now tell me what is the one thing that you like about Target!

Happy Birthday MsDisney :bday: Around here the Target stores are smaller, but nicer than Wal-Mart(they seem cleaner, have better lighting). There are Super Target stores which are huge. Enjoy your day, and have a nice meal at Country Buffett. :)

I don't have a Target near me in Canada. There is one in Bellingham, south of the U>S./Canadian border.

May I say I am glad to see you are feeling much better, well enough to take a drive! You had me worried, but you are doing well now.

Enjoy your buffet. I love 'em.

Happy Birthday!

OMG!! Congratulations!! First of all- Happy Birthday, and second, I'm glad that you are feeling well enough to go!

And aahhhhh Target... Where do I start? First of all, it's like Wal-Mart, without having cheap junk. It's so much nicer. (I worked at Wal-Mart for 5 years, so I am totally biased against it too).

They have great stuff for your house, cute clothes, great kitchen stuff and bedding! I love seeing what's on clearance. Everything is up to date with current trends, and oh, my. :cloud9: I'm so excited for you.

I could walk around Target for hours. And I sometimes do!!

Here's wishing you a Magical Day tomorrow!! :wizard:

Well definately not the Starbucks inside of Target..... ;)

You will love Target. I know I do but I have to say I like Walmart better. Target does not have as big of a selection. Im sure this might offend someone but you cant please everyone.... :goodvibes

Forgot to add: Happy Birthday!! :cheer2:

I hope you have a great time. I think the bedding dept is very nice. Now in Target all the clearence is in the back of the depts so I always walk around the back of the store in a big circle. I'm "thrifty" aka cheap. I love a bargin. A Starbucks has opened in our DE Target & it has tax free shopping!

:bday: party:

Oh have fun on your birthday!! I am so glad to hear that you are feeling well!! I love Target!! Just enjoy looking!! All of their stuff just seems to pop up at me and most of the time says "buy me!" Enjoy luch as well. We expect a nice "trip report" from you!!

:bday: I hope you have a great day. Target is just one of those places you have to experience to find out why people like it so much. I really like all the Pacific Rim inspired stuff that they have for the home out now.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!!

Yeah!!! I'm glad your feeling good enough to go. :cool1: If you head up to the Deptford Target I may run into you in the morning. It's the first stop on my to do list tomorrow. I can't tell you why I love Target, you just have to experience it yourself. You'll love it!!! Happy Birthday and have a wonderful time. :bday:

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have a great time at Target. it is my favorite store!

The best deals are found on the end-caps facing the walls. I love walking up and down the parmiter of the store looking for deals.

The housewares section is great, and often has a great clearance section.

Purses and clothing are super cute.

Don't forget to check out their dollar section right by the enterance.

I love Target.

Happy Birthday! And I'm so happy that you are able to get out. :)

My favorite thing about Target is that they carry Shabby Chic. I especially love the Shabby Chic sheets. They are so pretty.

Ohhh Target!

I don't go anymore for fear of spending tons of money. They always have a selection of $5.50, $7.50 and $10 DVDs which are fun to look through.

My second fav is checking out the housewares- they have really cute picture frames, wall art and mirrors. Their glassware/barware is cute too and very reasonable.

Then of course the dollar spot at the front of the store. Although I either love everything or hate everything :confused3

The clearance sections on the endcaps are also a must. Never know what you'll find! (although beware- we bought a piece of furniture for our bathroom and when we opened the box there were no directions... I told DBF "that's ok, we can try to figure it out"... then we find out- there are no screws!!! :rotfl: )

Their purses are also really fun- especially now, their spring bags and purses are really cute. I bought a nice beach bag last year and have a bunch of spring purses from there over the years! :cloud9: Sometimes they have good shoes/flip flops too. I have a friend who swears by Target shoes!

And :bday:

Have a great time on your birthday. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better!

Target is awesome, I too especially like the STARBUCK's in Target!!! I used to shop mostly at Wal-Mart before moving to Orlando - the Wal-Mart was very convenient, and luckily it was a very Wal-Mart, but now I HATE going to Wal-Mart, and will only there for things I know I can't get at Target - (Horse Treats, and one style of jeans that I like....)

I love shopping in the housewares section - especially living in FL - they have great designs in dining ware, - we eat off of Target plates, drink out of Target glasses.

They also have an awesome "garden department" - I bought my outside table, chairs, umbrella, fire pit, storage box, and probably much much more from Target last spring. Most of my beach towels come from Target and so much more...

not to mention that it's DDs favorite place to toy shop!

I can't pinpoint what I like about Target except to say I would like to live there!! It has everything!! If I didn't have DD11 & DS8 with me everytime I'm in there....I could easily spend 2 hours in there shopping & browsing.

Also, it's hard to go in there just to "pick something up".
The store kind of "draws you into it" & you feel the need to check all of the departments just in case something you've had your eye on goes on clearance.

That's happened to me...there have been times when it's been 2 weeks since I was in my Target. I finally get in & discover that something I've been admiring for ages, finally went on clearance & I missed it!!

You will have fun!!

Happy Birthday and have a wonderful day out! I love the Target end caps!! The secret is to scan the sale items! Many times sale items are cheaper than they are marked!! When you find one, you then do a little target happy dance in your head because you found a bargain!!! Your birthday, a meal out and a Target happy dance!! Life doesn't get much better!!!

Ooh Target, my favorite!

I like the casual clothing from Cherokee. I like the kids sections and the toys are pretty good. The outdoor furniture area is nice and so is the housewares. They also have a good music and movie section while the electronic games are decent. They're having a really good sale on the console games by the way.

I would just browse around and see what you like. And happy birthday!!! :cheer2:

The areas I like best in Target are:
Housewares, linens, home decor/furniture, infant/toddler clothing, jewelry/accesories, seasonal, and sleepware. The kids department clothing is nice too, but the infant section has truly adorable stuff. I'm not in love with their women's clothing, but I wear plus sizes and the plus size clothes seem really boring to me.

Happy Birthday!

But Target..I have much love for Target, I can roam in there for hours..

Corey (DH) has asked me many times why I don't just sign over my paycheck there every 2 weeks.

I was wondering earlier this week how you were doing. Now I know.

Hope you have a fantastic Birthday! I haven't been to a Target either, but I hear they are good. So...........enjoy!!
