Tomorrow Should Prove To Be Interesting *UPDATE*

I think my dad and my brother-in-law will probably have words tomorrow.

My dad invited us kids (4 of us) plus spouses for brunch for one of my sister's 50th b-day. Dad does this for special birthdays and always has just his kids and their spouses.

My brother-in-law,of the sister who is 50, without asking my dad, invited his parents and his sister and her husband. Now this brother-in-law is my sister's 2nd husband, no better than the first one, and we all manage to get along when we get together, but I think he's really pushing it now.

My dad is going to be 74 and very set in his ways and he is furious. The problem is Dad pays for all of us and now he feels obligated to pay for his son-in-law's people too. And also this brother-in-law knows that it is just my dad taking his kids and their spouses to lunch just like in the past.

I think brother-in-law is going to have a rude awakening

*UPDATE*
Well, brother-in-law's parents showed up . . .what originally was a table of 10 became a table of 12 . . .there was hardly any room at the table . . .We were all smooshed in . . .Breakfast (Brunch) was good . . .always good to be with family . . .dad didn't even look at brother-in-law . . .when it came time to pay, brother-in-law's parents didn't even offer to pay, neither did brother-in-law. Breakfast cost my dad $240. At least brother-in-law could of offered to pay the $40 for his parents . . .I'm sure my dad was seething at this point . . .I mean at least offer . . .I'm pretty sure my dad wouldn't of accepted it . . .Well, I'm sure we'll be hearing about this at our next gathering . . .
