Tommorrowland Quests: Game or Lame?

I think I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with all this new stuff that cannot be completed at once -- I guess I am not used to this in VMK. I was hating doing the first quest last night -- I could not get to the top of Tom Sawyer's Island! And to think I've been on VMK for just under 6 months now! But I actually liked it a few tasks later...that is until I found out I had to play pirates!! That's a whole other story LOL! pirate:

I made it into the Star Trader's Shop thanks to Rob -- I couldn't figure out why you were calling me in there (I was on a timer for a task and I was like...the nerve of some people! Don't they know I'm in the middle of a task!? LOL). I saw the generator and could have bought it, but decided not to. If it is not tradeable, Monkey would not have been a happy camper that I had one and she didn't. And I don't think I will ever be doing my own quests :).

Beside the fact that the clues were very bad, why put the item on the ground where 100 ppl would stand? There were actually some that had their pins, came back to the quest and stood on the items on purpose. How wrong is that? I saw some poor girl in pirates that I am sure was in tears. And yes I helped her Please vmk lift the items from under mad stomping feet.

This was one thing that kept me from getting a few tasks done on time. I knew I had to look for something, but couldn't figure out where it was. Good thing I was IMing with Fox at the same time -- she was my tip key!! :rolleyes1

It was sooo sad to watch others begging for help -- I so wanted to help them all, but I needed the help myself! LOL :rotfl:

Will be playing more when Monkey gets well...

A Days~

One thing we did was to go into "Advanced" mode so you picked the least crowded room so that it would be less likely that somebody would be standing on the item you need.

I did that, it made it completely ok for me. I found the quests, as someone above said, evil, buggy, yet indeed very fun lol. Sometimes it was easy and sometimes it was horribly difficult and I had to beg people for help and then maybe some nice CL would help me. Crazy!

With tommorrowland and the quests out, I would like to ask people what they thought of the quests.

So far, I love the quests.

I like how some of the questions are easy, and some are HARD (getting to the top of Tom Sawyer island took me a LONG time). When I got stuck, usually people in the rooms were helpful.

It made me play the Pirates game for the first time, and keep trying until it was actually fun. :cool1:

I like that all the park trivia I've picked up over the years in the real parks is helpful to the quests, as is all the vmk geography that I've absorbed from a week and a half of obsessive playing (just discovered vmk).

Those who stand in the way so you can't click are obnoxious, but I realized if I navigate in advanced mode I can choose rooms with less people...and have more room to move. :teeth:

As for vmk crashing...it is to be expected when you roll out new software. I think they did well.

I really like the quests but I hate the fact that we have to play the game (Fireworks, Pirates, Etc) in order to finish them.

I sort of like the quests. Eexcept for the bugs and the fact that you have to buy/sell items. Sorry, But I really didn't need or want to buy anything in Imports. I'm also not looking forward to having to sell stuff that I want either.
My main problem right now is trying to complete a quest requiring me to play HM. Stupid game keeps kicking me back to the lobby before the second round starts.

I'm with you, Pink. I recall plenty of folks saying they were overwhelmed by Frontierland. And I just didn't get that since there was relatively little to do in that new land.

But this land is all about "doing." There are rooms you can't even enter until you "do" something. And the quests are confusing. I tried the first one and then decided "I'll just come back to this when nobody cares anymore."

Pink, let's roam around dazed together, shall we?

Lobotomy, anyone?

Ricks (who refuses to be made nervous by virtual reality)

Sounds like a plan, Ricks! (not the lobotomy part, but the "let's roam around dazed togther" part!)
