Tom & Suri

It doesn't even have to be for continuity. I've had to stay out of the sun before because I was playing a poor and pale character, so the director didn't want me to get a tan.

On the other hand, many of you are questioning why Tom is wearing long sleeves and jeans....

well folks, if he is working on a film (or has a new one to film very soon) many celebrities cover up if they will be in the sun for a bit, so that they don't get a suntan/get red.

I remember one celebrity saying she wanted to go to the beach with her friends and had to be covered up in towel the whole time so she wouldn't get a tan and ruin the continuity shots.

Sounds like a bunch of you on here are jealous that they get special treatment while you scour the park getting fast pass tickets. Guess what, they probably paid a lot of money to get that treatment. We got VIP treatment earlier in the year when I had family in town from south america. We had them for 2 days and we did all the parks. It was well worth it.

Our home in Miami is in an area where many celebrities live and I have met many of them. We have the paparazzi and tour groups all the time cruising the shores looking for celebrities since they are not allowed in our neighborhood. They absolutely hate being bothered by the photographers and fans with autographs, photo-ops, etc. Let them just have fun in the parks.

I completely agree. If I was famous and had the money I would totally use this VIP service. Some people are insane, especially the paparazzi.

One time I was sitting on a flight from Boston to DC (Reagan Airport), about 4 rows behind first class. All of a sudden Ben Affleck stands up in first class to get something out of his backpack from the overhead bin. I did a double-take at first and couldn't believe that he managed to get on the plane without anyone noticing. After we landed, I ended up walking about 20 yards behind him on my way down to baggage. Most people did a double-take and were whispering to each other. A few people with cell phones followed him out of the gate area (I assumed they had a flight to catch/miss) and down to the taxi/limo area. They were jumping around Ben the whole time and taking his picture non-stop - it was really disturbing. Leave the freakin guy alone!

That was a 5 minute walk out of the airport. Imagine how many lunatics he would have attracted in a place as busy as the Magic Kingdom.

We are here now but haven't seen them. I think it's awesome that Tom brought her down. It's funny because my girlfriend just saw Suri at her DD's gymnastic's class in NYC a couple of days ago and now they are here. Suri is REALLY good at gymnastics. She is just a typical little girl who loves to dance and play, totally totally normal bubbly little girl. I am so happy he brought her down. Divorce is hard on families, celebrities or not. I can't imagine going through a divorce in the public eye. Terrible!

I wonder if they are staying at the GF? I think most celebs usually stay there?

And that woman in the pic with them is Tom's sister. I am guessing the third person is a Disney CM. He/her probably radios ahead to the ride/attraction so they can ride peacefully.

Here he is at BB

We had a very mysterious delay at Toy Story Mania last night. It was WEIRD. It stopped for a while. Then after we rode it stopped again and we had to sit in the car for about five min. The guy came out and started flicking switches. Bet it was them riding!

We saw them tonight. They came into the Beauty and the Beast show at DHS just before it started. The crowd went kind of crazy and lots of people went down to the front to take pictures, but it all settled down quickly.

We're not Tom fans but we still grinned at each other stupidly...we saw Tom Cruise!

Very cool. Last night my DD said they are at Hollywood Mommy! She was right.;)

I think it's nice that a dad is spending quality time with his child on the most magical place on earth. Regardless of what people think or feel about his beliefs, choices etc, those are happy memories that child will keep forever.
Nice news for a change : )

I'm glad he brought her there. A little slice of a normal life is excellent.
They are followed like crazy, constantly. They've been in car accidents where the papparazzi have hit them or caused other accidents. It's insane. I've worked in NYC for 20+ years and I NEVER bother a celebrity. If they are at a press event (outside one of the TV studios) then they are fair game for pictures. But if they are going about their life, I won't bother them.

I used to work in Tribeca and a lot of celebrities live down there. Saw them getting their morning coffee, out for a stroll with kids, or just having a quick lunch with family. They have lives and I had no intention of intruding or whipping out my cell phone. Heck, half the time I never even noticed them until I had walked past them. Then it was like "Oh that's who that was!"

Then I started working in the same building as Howard Stern. The paps just parked outside when a celebrity was in the building. They get crazy and it's no wonder that they carry that child everywhere. It's really for her own protection. I don't blame them at all.

And I love the fact that she got to wear an Ariel costume at MK the other day. She is adorable!!!

I did have to break my own rule one time so I will confess.

During one of my Girl Scout trips (troop leader), we were on our way to the Intrepid and stopped in Hoboken to take the girls to Carlo's Bakery. It was early, there wasn't a major line so we waited. We were the second group outside in line to go into the bakery.

Anyway, while we were waiting in line to go in I turned around to a group coming up behind us. My brain said "Oh, there's Taylor Lautner." My next thought was "Crap!!! There's Taylor Lautner and I'm in line with a bunch of 12 year old girls!" :scared: I couldn't even get a quick prayer out of "Please don't let them see him." before I got a tug on my sleeve and a quick whisper "Do you see who is behind us???!!!!" :goodvibes I couldn't get upset with the girls because they are young. I probably would have been the same way at their age with Shawn Cassidy. :rotfl2:

I quickly huddled the girls together and tried to explain that it probably wasn't him but someone that looked similar. I tried!! Heck, I didn't even believe myself. Thank goodness it was our turn to head into the bakery before they did anything crazy. So in we go, picked out our treats, take a picture with the Sister in the bakery, and chat for a few minutes because Sister's DD is also a GS. Back outside with our treats to head to the car. Hah!! Like it would be that easy. I was met with a mutiny of 10 girls refusing to leave. So I made a deal with them. I would request - ONE - group photo with him but they had to be lined up and waiting for him to slide right into the picture. That was it!! No autographs. No separate pictures. They would all have a copied emailed to them that night and a hard copy photo sent to school on Monday.

They agreed, he agreed and it was done in 30 seconds. Of course he claimed he was Taylor's cousin but the entourage gave him away. That and 12 year old girls know way too much information about stars. He does not have a cousin his age that could pass as his identical twin. :rotfl2: There was still no crowd so everyone dispersed quickly and he wasn't delayed.

We were on a cruise recently and the family at our table, both the wife and husband are actors. My DH recognized her but couldn't pinpoint from where. I told her what happened with Taylor and she said I handled it perfectly and thanked me for understanding about celebrities personal time. So I felt a little better. Still don't know who they are other than a very nice family we enjoyed the week with. :goodvibes

Okay, now back to Tom and Suri.

I do think that kid is adorable!!! I'm glad they appear to be having a good time. At least she is smiling. And per one of those links, it appears she is a TSM fan!! :thumbsup2

I saw video of her walking by the Magic Carpets.

We met Dick from Big Brother when we were there last week. He was nicer than I iagie Tom or Suri would be.

This comment has got to be the most ignorant statement I have ever read... I'm in awe. :confused3

We seen Tom and Suri at Typhoon Lagoon on Wednesday. Didn't get any pics of my own, camera was in the locker and I didn't want to look like some crazed TMZer. Passed him and Suri a few times while waiting for tube rides. Then later on was in the wave pool about fifty feet away while he and Suri and another family(body guard?) splashed around. Disney had security about and for the most part folks left him alone except for those few that got passed and either received a friendly wave or hand shake.

That's cool! Kind of a fun story to tell when you return home :p

We saw Tom and his daughter at the tea cups during Friday extra magic hours, I got to shake his hand and say a few words, It was really cool to see such a big star just being one of us and enjoying the park.

Probably a very nice guy, but one of us he is not. :) he and his sweet daughter stayed in the Cinderella Suite in Castle! Oh to live with such perks!

I can't imagine Tom would enjoy that. Why wouldn't they stay at a suite at the GF? That seems totally normal to me.
