Tom Brady sounds like a real nice guy...NOT

I have taken the time to read through every thread in Disboards history. I then took the time to enter all statistics into my super computer. After extrapolating all data, I was able to determine that this is not "one of the worst threads of all time", but is in fact the worst thread of all time. It narrowly beat out the "What will the weather be when I leave in nine months?" thread by .01567483 of a point. Upon realizing the horrifying truth of what I had just stumbled upon, I awakened my son and we have both retreated to our underground bunker for safety. Hopefully, this "worst thread of all time" will quickly be deleted by the mods before it is given the opportunity to wreck havoc on our communities and tear apart the very fabric of our democracy that we hold so dear to our hearts.
I hereby bestow upon Wall-E1 the unofficial title of DIStatician ;) That was a really good calculation - I came up with similar numbers in my head :umbrella:

:lmao: One of the greatest (or is it THE greatest??!!) DIS posts of all time!
Ok, I read this and couldn't figure out what the big deal was? Tom Brady may not be my favorite but heck he IS a football player so I am assuming that his wife knew that he may not make it if she delivered on a Sunday. I am assuming also..which is bad I know...that in the end there are a lot of dads that due to prior committments don't make the birth..like military etc.

Hey, he really has done a good job of keeping his personal life personal and that probably is a great thing. I think he sees the problems surrounding Tiger Woods and just wants to keep things on a neutral ground. Can't blame him and the only one who should be mad is the wife. And she hasn't said she is divorcing him due to missing the birth so I guess they have figured it out at home! Good for them for having a private life!

He didn't miss the birth. He's playing THIS Sunday, days after she gave birth. (Right? :confused3 Sorry...no time to go back to the OP.)

Darn..I misunderstood the whole thing. So he was there for the birth but is playing on Sunday?

Ok..still doesn't make him a bad guy..just gotta job to do. I am quite sure this particular problem was visited several times during the last 9 months between Tom and mom...so who else should care? As long as she is good I am good. And if she wasn't I am sure we would know.

Sorry for doing a post and run. I left work early to go see Trans-Siberian Orchestra and have just made it back.

I'm not a Tom Brady hater. I have no regard one way for the other for most football players. But, IMO, in that article he seems to come off as more caring about football than his wife and new baby. Yes, I know he's paid to play football and its his job but I think that article made him sound like a ****.

I'm fine with everyone disagreeing with me. :thumbsup2:laughing:

So you're upset that he's going back to work five days after the birth of his child? Most dads are back sooner. Tom and Giselle are followed all the time when they're in NYC, Boston or LA - I can understand him not wanting to talk about his private life. Especially with the amount of people who judged him for "leaving" Bridget Moynahan...who, BTW, somehow got pregnant toward the end of their long time relationship and announced it after he hooked up with the current wife. I'm going to get flamed for sounding anti-feminist on that judgement, I'm aware.

Off topic, hope you enjoyed TSO. I'm jealous!

I can't believe no one has brought up the most important point of all. They are playing the CAROLINA PANTHERS. Tom doesn't need to be there. I could fill in as QB and the Pats would win.
(former Panthers fan, current Delhomme hater).

I don't think that Jake is even going to start that game. He didn't practice at least the first part of the week.

Again, he was being interviewed by SPORTS reporters, therefore it is more than reasonable that he expected/intended to discuss his JOB - not his child. They weren't social reporters, or entertainment reporters, or gossip columnists. How can he possibly be faulted for attempting to keep the interview ON TOPIC???

Hopefully Matt Moore will play and we might have a fighting chance!
Jake is every opponents favorite QB.
