Tom Brady.... meh....

When he shown kneeling with his head down? Yeah it looked like he was just so overcome with the weight he'd been holding.
Between his family issues and all the deflategate stuff, he's really been dealing with a lot. The pressure he was under both from the outside and what he seems to put on himself must have been crushing.

This is just me assuming but I feel (by his reaction) that this may be the last game she will watch him play in. I hope not.

Just wondering where you saw she had breast cancer? I know the media keeps saying undisclosed illness. Praying she makes a full recovery from whatever kind it might be.
I live in Massachusetts and have read several local reports from someone who is close to the family. It apparently hasn't made the national news yet. Brady does a weekly radio spot on Westwood One and in October they were talking about it being Breast Cancer month and he mentioned it was impacting his family.

Fellow Massachusetts girl here too! Thanks! That makes sense...hopefully she will beat this nasty disease and come out stronger on the other side. :)

He seemed pretty emphatic when talking to Terry Bradshaw before the game that there was no way in hell he'd retire now. He's having too much fun.

Ok people, I'm going to let you in on a not so secret secret- Brady's back up quarterback is extremely handsome and appears to be nice as well as humble and talented. Look up Jimmy Garappolo- you're welcome!

Thank you!! Now he's good looking. It's always good to keep balance on your hot-guy list: sports, music, movies/TV, etc. ;)

They were saying on a national talk show today that they can't believe how hated Brady is around the country when he stands for everything that's right with sports. He doesn't abuse women, he's a family man, he respects all of his opponents and he represents the Patriots and the New England region with class. They said the hatred all comes from jealousy. Who woulda thunk it?

I agree it makes little sense. Lots of people seem to be jealous of people that strive for excellence and achieve it.

It is a little ridiculous. When Montana was in his heyday, I wasn't a fan but I certainly didn't hate him. And these people hated Brady even before deflategate -which is one reason why it caught on like wildfire. Either way -Brady(and Belichick) have set an example of hard work equals results. I don't think I can think of a better example in any realm -sports, business, anywhere. And it's great to know my children have learned from these principles -accept challenges, never stop playing, focus....(and they're young women)

Just look at Brady's answer about who is his hero? Other athletes answer an athlete they grew up watching while Brady answered his father, which is the way it should be. Just plain class.

Honestly, I thought he would have said his mother ...not that he didn't give a good answer.

My guess is he said his dad seeing how much he's going through with his wife's illness while taking such good care of her.

BTW they say mom Brady is doing better now.

You know, it's interesting. Most of the NE sports teams are hated, including the Red Sox. But in recent years we've seen some beloved former Red Sox go to, say, the Chicago Cubs, including the general manager, Theo Epstein, and there, they became very loved, too, even revered when they won the World Series last year in a legendary fashion. So I have to think that a lot of it is just the fact that they're NE teams, which is kinda sad, but I get it. I'm more of a baseball fan than anything, and I honestly can't say there's any other baseball team I hate. (And that includes the Yankees - I'm actually a Yankee fan myself. :p ) I sort of like all of them. I rooted for the Cubs in the WS and was happy to do it. (I would've been very happy for the Indians, too, if they had won it.) One of the reasons I don't read a lot of football stuff is that I just can't stand to hear all the hatin' on Brady and the Pats. Local stuff is fine, I have nothing against honest criticism and like to hear the pros and cons of thing. They estimated a million people came out for the victory parade Tuesday, despite there being horrible cold/rainy/wet weather. Some stood outside from 5am. They said it was the biggest crowd ever seen for a victory parade here, and that includes when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004 for the first time since 1918. One of the good things about living in NE is being a sports fan, for sure. Haters just gonna hate, I guess. :p

This could very well be because of the fans. I have noticed fans from NE and even the Pittsburgh area live and die for their teams. They even seem to get depressed when they lose. Other than their teams they don't seem to know much else about other teams and even the sport it self. They are fans of their team, but not fans of their sport. I have had fans of those area with me to Tampa Bay Bucs games and Lightning games. When the Lightning played the Penguins in the playoffs this past year we went to the games in both cities. When they came to Tampa they were actually surprised to see the city lit in blue, sports bars and Lightning signs all over the city. Same at the Bucs game. They honestly thought this only happened in the Pittsburgh areas.

Well, that might be true in Pittsburgh, but not in New England. I think if you were to ask anyone "in the know" sports writers, athletes ...pretty sure they would say New England fans are as good or better than any, and we know the game. I can assure you there is no depression in this region when we lose ...we're pretty grateful for any game/season well played. You can't win them all....
