Tom and Jerry - Pipsquack = Kevin from Up?

DD was watching cartoons and I happen to catch a few minutes of Tom and Jerry.....an episode I had never seen before. T&J are photographers in the jungle trying to get a photo of the rare Pipsquack bird.......and I found that "Pipsquack" reminded me a lot of Kevin from Up:

What do you think? Even the "rare, never photographed bird" idea is similar...

Definitely! I would never have spotted that, but the resemblance is really clear.

One thing I've learned from listening to audio commentaries on dvd's is that way more stuff in movies is actually referential to other films than I ever knew before - the people who work on movies LOVE movies, and love to insert little "quotes" to other films.

In G-Force I laughed out loud when the hamster said "yippee kay aye, coffee maker" in exactly the same tone of voice that Bruce Willis uses to say "yippee kay aye, [insert swear word here]" in Die Hard - I'm pretty sure it was a Die Hard, not a Roy Rogers, reference.
