They take EZ Pass or money. We just took a roll of quarters with us...I am thinking it is like 3 dollars each way but don't quote me
Last I was there, they didn't take EZ Pass which I have. They only take Sun Pass.
The rental agency/ toll authority has a program where a photo is taken of your license plate, and your credit card is billed the toll. The agency charges a small fee for the service. Ask at the rental counter when you arrive.
Florida toll roads still only accept Florida transponders. The systems are: Sunpass, Leeway, and E-pass.
Most of the toll plazas accept all three of these.
Leeway is for Lee County (Fort Myers area) bridge tolls. What is Leeway? I live in the Orlando area and never heard of it. The ones I'm familiar with are Sun, E and O Pass.
Just got back and dont worry about the tolls. You have two tolls that take cash from MCO - WDW. One for $1.00 and the other for .75.
We have the 407 here...no tolls just a bill in the mail a month or so later!!!Tolls depend on which way you decide to drive. If you take the Beach Line (528) from the north exit of the airport, there is a $1.00 and a $.75 toll (2 stops). It's been a while but the last time we took the south exit and took the 417 (the way the Magical Express goes). I believe it's more money, and more stops. As a NYS thruway driver it's hard to get used to stopping every couple miles and pay more money instead of just paying once for the entire trip.
I'm not aware of any toll road system anywhere that doesn't take some sort of currency and requires you to be a registered user of that public road. Though some may not give change....possibly on the 417, can't remember exactly.
We used Dollar. We have them booked again for this vacation.

How awful! They charge $6.99 per day whether you use a toll or not!
Make sure you tell them that you DO NOT want to Pass 24!
