We're renting a car for the first time and I'm trying to set aside enough quarters for the tolls between the airport and Disney. Does anyone know how much I need?

Thanks!
Amanda

Taking the south exit from the airport there are two tolls of $1.25 each between the airport and Exit 6. The booths are manned so there's no need to bring exact change.

We took the south exit and went through two manned stations and then the exit we took had an unmanned, exact change toll booth (for $.50 I think). We had used our quarters at the manned stations (after I told my wife we should hold on to them) and then we were scrambling for the change; I had some in my back-pack change pocket.

The 1st pocket we checked had Canadian but the other change pocket had US. I don't remember the exit. Maybe it wast exit #3; we were headed to All Star Music Resort.

Correct about there being an additional toll (unmanned this time) if you continue to exit 3 on this route. We've never seen the need to go further than exit 6 as we are very familiar with the roads to and through WDW. :car:

Thank you for the information! I think I already set aside $6 or $7 in quarters so that should be more than enough. I have $1s set aside for tips so I'll be ok!

We do the same. There is no reason to go to exit 3 and really is the wrong way to do it. Exit 6 takes you straight into Disney near Epcot and every resort can easily be reached from it, even All Stars. Just check maps before you go and follow the signage which is very good.

We have tried both the north exit from MCO via the 528 and I4, and the south exit via 417. We now always take the 417, anything to avoid I4 and extra price very much worth it for quieter drive and lighter traffic.

I had always exited sooner even when staying at the All Star resorts but I was letting my GPS guide me this time and this is what it got me...exit 3.:headache:

Same for us as well! Always take South Exit onto 417 and always take Exit 6 and find our way once on Disney property! Never have any issues with Traffic and the $2.50 in tolls is worth it for pretty much a straight shot with minimal traffic.

Anyone know if there is a toll at John Young Parkway? We are hopping off to eat lunch and buy groceries (I know many of you are shaking your heads), but it's the plan and we're sticking to it.

Anyway, just curious if anyone knows if there is an additional toll here and if so how much and if so is it both on and off? phew.

A couple of advantages to renting a car. We save enough money with an occasional meal outside of the parks and a few breakfasts and lunches in our room to pay for the car rental.

.

Based on Google Maps, it looks like there is a toll booth on the exit ramp. Likely 50 cents, but you can probably use the toll calculator on the Florida's Turnpike website to confirm.
