Hi we're planning on driving back from port canaveral to SSR and wanted to know if anyone knew how many and how much the tolls are?

Someone will give you an exact figure, but it is about $5. There was a recent small increase, so old info/cruisers won't be accurate.

It will depend on route and exit. If you go SR528 to SR417 South, the toll will range from $5.00 (Exit 6 - I Drive) to $6.00 (Exit 0 - I-4). If you take SR528 all the way to I4, the toll will be $4.25,

Are all of these tolls exact change only? No manned booths?

There are some tolls that are exact change only, and then there are some that are manned. So I would go ahead and make sure you have quarters just in case you come across those unmanned booths.

Depends on the type of toll plaza. I would recommend having plenty of quarters so you don't have to worry about which type of toll plaza you will be traveling thru.

All main line toll plazas have manned lanes that can provide change in addition to exact coin and electronic toll lanes.

All entrance/exit ramps that have toll facilities are exact coin/electronic toll only.

since we live on the east coast we just pack our EZ pass and use that.

we had friends who learned the hard way some booths are not manned and ended up setting off alarms at a few. :)

The EZPass that is used in the northeast is not valid for use in FL. FL uses the SunPass and EPass.

That's great to know! We have an EZ pass too but didn't think you could use it there. We got off at one booth and didn't have exact change so we just drove through it. We had a rental car but we did end up getting a bill in the mail. Lol. We learned our lesson.

Requoting my post - EZPass will not work in FL.

We drove it a few weeks ago. There were 3 or 4 manned booths. The last booth on 517 before Disney was unmanned and costs $0.75. I had no change. I started to panic. I instinctively opened the arm rest on our rental and there sat 3 quarters. Major pixie dust. :lmao:

FWIW... Airport to PC is two dollars. Two separate and distinct one dollar booths.

First cruise last September we pulled up to the booth with an attendant at the last of the (then) toll plazas. Hubby asked the attendant, "Are there any more tolls before the port? I need to know if I should stop to take out a loan..." The sweet lady got a good laugh and assured him he was done with the tolls.
