toddlers & princess dresses

Do you let your toddlers wear their princess dresses around the park? My daughter is bent on wearing her Anna dress when she meets Anna & Elsa. She keeps saying "mommy I'm going to wear my dress and dance with Anna" but...what do I do with the dress the rest of the time?! She will be so hot in it all day! (I know I know, first world problems...)

my daughters, now 7 and 5, still wear their princess dresses to the parks. they usually leave them on all day without complaint. they love the attention they get from the princesses and other cast members. some people store their dresses in a locker, or carry it in a backpack and put it on over clothes while waiting in line at the meet & greet. two of my favorite pictures are of my older dd in a cinderella dress dancing with cinderella when she was about 3, and the way sofia spent time with my younger dd when she was in her sofia dress.

I bring a gallon ziplock bag and shove it in there when they are done wearing it. We just have them wear it over shorts and a tank or t-shirt.

I'll let my 2 and 4 year old wear them, but I'll also be bringing tee shirt and shorts for them to change into when they get hit, itchy, etc etc

My kiddos wear their dresses often! We go most years and they never complain! It's usually 80 plus degrees out too!

I bring the dress for my 4 year old in the making and let her change into it for the character meeting then I'll let her wear it until she decides she has had enough. I also have her wear it over her normal clothes to make things easier for me when she wants to change back. I second the gallon Ziploc bag as well; it makes fitting it back in my bag that much easier. Personally I like the photos with her dressed as a princess when she meets them, especially if she is wearing the costume of the princess she is meeting!

Our ODD started wearing a princess dress when she was about 3. (The glitter gets everywhere, btw). We also bring a change of comfy clothes, and plan our dinner/princess meets either at the beginning or the end of the day; then we tell her she can change "for" dinner and the meet and greet, and wear "comfy" clothes the rest of the time. BOG dinner is always a treat because she feels so special, and whenever she's been in a princess dress the Beast always gives her a little extra attention.
