Toddler Twins take another Trip Aug/Sept '15 PTR: 3 MORE SLEEPS

While you can walk to DHS - I don't think I would...it's a good 10-15 minute hike, and my vote would be for the boat there and back! (Only one stop after BCV!)

We always do TSMM twice on our DHS day - once at RD and once with FP. (We have in the olden FP- days done it THREE times in a day without waiting in line.) It is a huge favorite with DD and DW, and I always come off of it sore (in my shoulder) and laughing.

One secret of rope drop at DHS now is they don't actually DO a rope drop. They just start letting people in through the gates at about 8:45 AM, they use the gates themselves to temper the crowds. At that point, you can go right to TSMM and ride it without being caught in a stampede. Usually we are actually getting off the ride about 9:05 AM. (we'll be at DHS the day before you for morning EMH - actually plan on doing TSMM twice for EMH!)

I'm actually really looking forward to the Frozen Fireworks. Not a HUGE Frozen fan (liked the movie but not fanatical), but I've never seen fireworks inside DHS - so that to me will be a real treat, even if it means listening to "Let it Go" for the 250,000th time.

We've done Characterpalooza a few times, but I heard the same thing that they've tried to randomize it to a degree. That sort of sucks, because I'm not going to wander around the park looking for it.

One GREAT place for a stroller nap - One Man's Dream. If you are into Disney history at all, the displays are really great and there's a 15 minute movie that's in the dark and air conditioned. It might not just be the kids taking a nap! I don't know for sure if they let you bring in your stroller though - so maybe its not that great a suggestion.

I don't know how you are going to eat lunch at 50's Prime Time and then eat again at 4:30 for Mama Melrose. There's a lot of very hearty meals there! Last time I just had a salad (and a milkshake) because we were heading to Yachtsmen later that night. (Which by coincidence we will also be doing the night you are at Mama Melrose!)

I'm also a bit upset they are randomizing Characterpalooza. DF LOVES Robin Hood and that is the ONLY way to meet him in the parks at the time we are going!

That is a lot of food back to back. I've also read to reviews lately on how bad the service and food was for mama melrose for fantasmic package.

I can't believe I forgot to add our TSHIRTS for our Hollywood studios day!

They are my Absolute favorite so far. My kids LOVE the Muppets! So we are wearing our Muppet shirts! I made these with appliqued fabric pieces.

I will be in Beaker. DH will be Kermit. Little boy is gonzo, and my daughter is Animal. She has been saying "more drums, more drums!" to practice.

Those shirts are adorable! See Id be more likely to get DF on board with things like this that aren't super matchy matchy.

DAY 4: Epcot again

Good morning Monday! Today I am off breakfast duty because we are getting an early start, and heading to Akershus for some pre-park breakfast and princesses! It will be our first time eating there, and our first character meal of the trip. Reservation is at 8:15. Hoping to dress up the twins as prince and princess for the morning, if they are feeling it. If not, we will wear the individual color and black Mickey Tie-dyes that I made for our May trip.

Speaking of which, I got some of our photopass photos from that weekend! Here we are sporting the T's to be recycled this day:

So after we tuck in some goodies and plenty of coffee, we will see how we are feeling the heat and make a decision about our morning. Also depends how much we got done on our first Epcot day. We may go to Future World and ride a few rides, especially Spaceship Earth. But all in all we are planning to go back to the hotel by 10 for some good pool time and relaxation.

Today I really want a good, in room, long nap time, because we are going to have a few late nights coming up.

After nap we will freshen up and head back to Epcot. We will go to Mexico, and depending on the time may take a little boat ride before dinner at San Angel Inn (5:45). I'll probably book our FP for this day after dinner time, to get a few rides in. We will see Illuminations if the little are up for it. Maybe watching over our shoulders as we walk "home."

We will probably have to meet Donald in Mexico too!
Here's a shot from Dec 2014 of my two and my sis-in-law with her two

Day 5: A very busy "quiet" day, Water Park time!

Tuesday is a day of transition! We will wake up and do some packing, because it is time to leave the Beach Club and head to the Polynesian! I am sure it will be sad to go but I am so excited for the monorail and our MK days. :cool1:Our plan is to have breakfast at the resort, and pack up our things. We have a 8:30 reservation at Cape May Cafe. I will probably have most of our packing done before hand since I am such a chronic early riser! :coffee:

We will bring our luggage to Bell Services and have them move it to the Poly for us, and catch a bus around 9:30-9:45 or so to Typhoon Lagoon! My last time at TL was right after it opened, and I can remember it so clearly, much more than any other part of our DIsney World trip that year. It was so excited to swim with the sharks. I loved the wave pool. I cant wait to go back! My husband has never been a big water park fan. BUt our tickets included a free water park add-on day, so we decided to use it since we have nothing else planned.

Last summer we went to Sesame Place with the kids, and rented a cabana. It was really nice having the refrigerator, ceiling fan, lounge chairs, towels, etc so I decided to look into it for TL too. Checking the disboards it looks like a budget buster for sure, starting at $400 or so a day. But I called and asked anyway, and was quoted the price of $250 to rent a Beachcomber shack for the day! Well that seemed like a bargain after what i thought it would be so we jumped on it. Very excited to have shade and a safe place to leave things, and a "home base" for the day. :beach:

I still dont know what the twin's napping schedule is going to be like in September, but if we are lucky they will snooze in the loungers. If not we stretch it out a bit until we get texted for our room, and plan to leave to go to the Poly around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. If they dont nap at the park we will try again in our new digs!

Excited to check into the poly. We have a standard view room, and no upgrades since it is part of the "magical deal." But I am thinking of asking for a monorail view, since my son is a monorail addict.

We have an exciting evening planned as well. I am still up in the air about dinner. I have always really wanted to eat at 1900 PF for dinner, so I have that booked at 5:20pm. After that, back on the monorail for a jump to the Contemporary, where we will be meeting for our Pirate & Pals Fireworks Voyage! (see, I told you it was a day of splurges). Only problem is the website is currently saying that the party starts at 6pm... even though the fireworks have been pushed back to 10 so it shouldnt start until 8. I will call the week before and confirm everything time wise, but I hope i dont have to cancel dinner!

I have made us pirate Mickey ears shirts for the voyage. I still have to take a picture, they are not quite done. DS will have a Jake mickey, DD will have an Izzy MIckey, Hubby has a captain hook mickey, and i have a peter pan mickey!

Another late night that we can be thankful we just need to pop on the monorail to head home for our first night sleeping at the Poly!

AS you know, we are planning basically the same thing (Well not the splurges - the TL transition day.) We love TL also, though we haven't been since November 2011. The morning we went it was raining a bit, but we kept to our schedule and the park was the emptiest I've ever seen a Disney park!

I'm sure we'll get no such luck in August - but with the kids back in school at least the locals will be staying away!

Wow gorgeous! Looks like you had a lucky day! If it looks like a wet day we will likely cancel our cabana. They have refund policies too for washouts.

Here is a preview of the pirate shirts. Mine and little dudes.image.jpg

I am LOVING your shirts! I will come back later tonight and do some more comments (only if the dog has not eaten another mouse or other stuff on the desk...we think she may have learned to actually climb up on the top of the desk now...not good at all! Someone in our house was not happy about her early morning escapades after I left the house this morning! )

Day 6: Good Morning Poly!

It's Wednesday morning and we are waking up for our first full day at the Poly. We were up late last night with the Pirates & Pals cruise. I am expecting little eyes to be opening around 8am.

Right now I have us down for breakfast at 'Ohana at 8:30am. My kids really love Lilo and Stitch. When we went to MNSSHP in 2013, when they were about 15 months old, I dressed them as Lilo and Stitch. Unfortunately for some reason I have no good pictures. I made my daughter this adorable wig out of yarn, basically a crocheted hat with yarn hair. She would not keep it on, of course!

Oh they are so tiny!!!

We will then take the morning easy and hit the pool, and maybe even try for an early nap for an hour around 11am. I've never stayed at the Poly before but I heard the old pool was great and the pictures of the new one look like a lot of fun.

Around 2pm we will pack up and head to MK. Our day will start at the castle for some makeovers! My little princess will get her first BBB treatment, and I booked the little guy their "prince" make over too... because he will definitely want some glitter in his hair. Sylvie has been all about Beauty and the Beast this week so I may make her a Belle dress. I hope we can get some good photos of the two of them together afterwards.

Next up will be some one-on-one time for each of us. I will take Sylvie to CRT for an early dinner by ourselves, and DH will take Ben to do something special... I think this will be shopping for candy and riding an air conditioned ride!

I will book our FP in the 5-8 pm range. I think we will go for 7DMT, and both princess meet and greets. I can't resist getting princess pictures while they are in their BBB make up.

This evening we have the Wishes Dessert Party booked. We may cancel. It depends on the reviews. I really love not being crowded for Wishes. The old desserts were definitely "meh" in my book, but it was worth the (then) cheap price just not to be packed in like sardines. So if people are raving about the upgrades we will do it. If not, we will go back to the Poly and watch from the beach!

Our shirts for the day will be a rainbow tie-dye with a black Mickey head. Can't find a picture so I will have to post one later from home!

Next up: Day 7: Animal Kingdom

Why shall-not-be-named? Did you not like them? Or was the deal too good?

because the DIS has banned their name from the boards... so you cant say the company name without getting dinged :) I think it was because of some advertising issues... the boards are run by a competing agency.

As for liking them, the deal was very very good. my 8 nights with tickets was under 3K. SO I like them :)
