Toddler swimwear?

When we took DD in December, she was in the pool with my sister the entire time and I did not worry about her for a second. This time, not only will we be doing a water park, but she most likely will be in the pool with just the older kids at some point (with us at the edge of the pool). What kind of swimgear do I get her for the waterparks and the pool? I think we have a few sets of the arm floaties, do I use them or get one of the vest things? This child has no fear of water.

DD has no fear of water either! I'd keep her in one of the Disney-supplied lifejackets.

Edited to add: We go to Great Wolf a few times a year, and with the lifejackets, DD can do the little slides all by herself, and I don't have to worry as much about her.

We also had one of the swimsuits with the floaties built into it, that worked pretty well too

That's what we did with our 5 and 3 year olds. They were able to go down the slide by themselves and were happy!

I like the swim tubey things that are like a little tire that goes around the child's waist. It has a top that goes over the shoulders as well as a bottom that they have to step into.

I don't like the provided swim vests because they only provide protection on top. I feel like this creates an unbalance in my daughter. It seems like when she gets on her belly to swim in the shallows that it doesn't work well.

Most waterparks will not allow kids to use floaties, only Coast Guard certified life jackets. Last year, we found a Type III (if I recall correctly) life jacket that goes around a toddler's waist and then has integrated floaties for his arms. Works wonderfully, while still allowing a lot of range of motion. I think we paid about $20, and we can use it at all of the water parks.
