toddler packing list

I cut up a sponge into three or four pieces and drizzled dish soap over them and let them dry and placed them into a ziploc baggie in order to clean any cups, bottles and silverware. All that was needed to wash things in the room was to wet them with hot water and air dry. Hope that helps!

One other thing I would add was how much my little ones had with several sheets of stickers. I was able to make their day by letting them choose one at the beginning of the day and they had so much fun with it. These sticker sheets were the most entertainning thing I brought on the airplane. They were very happy to stick them on a small notebook and then color pictures around them.
All of the other posts offered great advice. Good luck and have fun!:upsidedow

We didn't take sippy cups, we took straws. Our 17mo used straws, so we had bendy straws to put in a bottle of water or milk. It reduced washing (though didn't eliminate it), and allowed us to give her anything we wanted her to drink.

His mother will give us a copy of his birth certificate and insurance cards and I've asked her to sign a statement showing we have her (she's the custodial parent and she and my son are not on speaking terms - a long, sad story) permission to have him with us in Florida and granting permission to authorize emergency medical treatment along with a phone number at which she can be reached. Do you think this is sufficient?

That sounds great, I would just add for her to get that statement notarized. This can be done at just about any bank (she should check her local branch) or maybe her town hall. She should look for a notary public. Just so that she can't turn around and say that she never did sign that, etc.

IN the parks we learned (the hard way) that the water areas existed. So in the future I'd always have a bathing suit and maybe flip flips in a ziploc bag for those occasions that we came across water and ds wanted to play.

Plastic grocery bags and good for a great many things. Having a few tucked into the backpack or bag is a great idea.

Change of clothes including socks and shoes in case of an accident.

Stroller, I loved my Mac Volo!

Well I shouldn't comment because I grossly underpack...for everything. :lmao:

But for our 9 day I will do:
3 pajamas
3 outfits
6 underwear
Sweatshirt (December)
Bathing Suit (maybe??? I dunno?)
5 pairs of socks (we lose socks)
Crocs & Sneakers
Hat & Sunblock
Toiletries (baby shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush)
Pull ups & Wipes
Juice Boxes & Horizon milk boxes
Couple toys/books for the plane but not much becuase we'll do special "gift baskets" for her each day according to where we are going.

and I will wash her clothes on the 4th day...and then re-wear them all! I don't pack for "in-case's" usually...my mom always complains about that. :rotfl:

I would add a couple boxes worth of snacks (fruit snacks, granola bars, etc.) and refilable water bottles. Camelbacks are wonderful for young kiddos. It is hot in FL.

I also didn't see Benadryl. The only time my kids seem to need it is on vacation.

We also bring a couple $1 tubes of glow bracelets/sticks from Michaels. Enough to share with other kids on the monorail/waiting for parades. Helps soften the blow of 'No' when they ask for the overpriced glowy things ; )

for your wonderful suggestions. I have been looking for the sippy cup straps but have not been successful. Where can I find them?

I haven't seen this mentioned so I thought I'd toss it out here, just in case. Our 2 year old needs a bottle to go to sleep at night. I brought 2, to be safe. If he needs a paci or a bottle for sleeping, I would pack extras.

I have gotten ours from amazon. The last ones I purchased from babies r us I returned as they were awful.

I'm an ER nurse so I thought I might comment on the medical issues. If he's critically sick, no authorization is needed. They will treat him and worry aout consent later. If not, and you are at say an urgent care of ER, they will call and obtain consent via phone. I am certain she will provide you with all her contact numbers. You can get the notarized papers and such but to be honest, I really wouldn't bother unless you think it would be difficult to contact her.
