We have purchased the dining plan for our family of four this may. Our Ds is 5 and he has his own credits, but our dd is only 2 and will be sharing with mom and dad, at no additional charge.
My question is- do we have to pay extra for her beverages, or is she covered on our / the dining plan for all meals we have counter service and table service.

For instance we stop at Cosmic Rays for lunch- ds, dh, and myself all order our meals which include a beverage, will we have to pay for daughters beverage seperately, or is she guaranteed a drink too, because as a family we are on the plan. Will it be listed on the card that we have a toddler with us who will need food as well.

I don't think she is entitled to anything, but I think that means you'll have to pay at CS and the TS servers will probably tell you not to worry about it. I could well be wrong.

If you order something for her, you will have to pay for it.

There was a thread not long ago about someone being upset because they were charged for the juice they ordered for their toddler.

If the toddler shares with you, that's fine. Otherwise it is extra unless you get some pixie dust your way. Just don't expect that.

Kids under 3 can eat free at buffets and other all you can eat places. What they don't get is anything that you have to order for them like drinks or their own seperate entree. We never got free drinks anywhere, not even the AYCE places for our kids. Expect to pay for anything you order extra for your DD. If you get it free that is a bonus.

You have a couple of options: You can order her water. You can bring your own juice boxes. Or you can budget paying for drinks and maybe you'll get lucky and some servers won't charge you. I know that we usually weren't charged for our children before they were eating their own meals, but recent reports indicate they are charging for drinks ordered for children under 3.

All of our table service restaurants gave ds1 a drink and didn't mention it with the bill. We had to pay for all of his drinks at the counter service places.

We carried water, and I would drink water with my meal, order a milk with my meal and give it to DD2. I drink water with meals anyway (if it isn't wine or coffee!), so it was fine for me. And it seems like, as others mentioned, for TS meals, DD2 had her own drink (no charge).

Another thing that we did was buy a LARGE milk (pint, I think) at a store (the store at our resort, WL, had these milks). We would carry that or put it in her sippy cup and the rest in the fridge at the resort. To buy the large milk, we used a snack credit. (I did get a large milk with my CS meals, too, and we could give her some then and take the rest back to the resort.)

BTW, First Years disposable sippy cups are GREAT. I brought 2 packages (10 cups) for our trip. I washed and reused them when I could and threw them away when needed (if we were at a park and she had finished milk, I didn't want to put it back into the diaper bag).

DS who is 6 months at every table service place except Whispering Canyon Cafe the server asked us if we needed anything for him. But since we had his cereal with us and formula it was all good.
