Todays Orlando paper on "Early Entry"

Article in Orlando paper today(9-26) on early entry. I know most DVC'ers might know, but for new members that don't.

Thanks for posting the link to the article. I was especially happy to see this paragraph:

This time they will be called "Extra Magic Hour," and each day one of Disney's four parks will open one hour early on a rotating basis. That will allow Disney hotel guests to meet and greet characters and to board rides before big crowds form.

There has been some speculation on other boards that the EMH will consist ONLY of characters and that rides will not be open. Again, very happy to see something at least quasi official that says otherwise.

Also very happy to see that something will be replacing Hunchback, even if there isn't anything definite as yet.

But the popular Hunchback show will end Saturday. Sylvain said Hunchback will be replaced with a new attraction as part of Disney World's occasional freshening, but he said plans aren't definite for what it will be.

Elsewhere in the article, Sylvain was identified as Disney World spokesman, Rick Sylvain.

Kelly, according to another thread, it is suppose to start Oct 1. So you should be covered!!

Not to rain on anyone's "new attraction" parade, but just because we are told "some new attraction" will replace a closed one, it doesn't mean it will.

But yes, the return of EE is a good thing, as are the experiments with later hours and more nightime entertainment at MK.

I think I'm going to miss the guy that does the diablo and jugguling before the show as much as the shoe itself. Sorrry to see it go.

I will definately miss Hunchback! I thought it was their best in park production ever. EE was important to me before DVC, but since then it has been better not to have one park jam packed one day.

Nick and Cindy- thanks for keeping an eye out for the article and posting for us! We had planned out our vacation and made our PS for restaurants a couple of months ago. When EMH was announced, we thought about rearranging everything to take advantage, but wanted to wait until there was as least a HINT of what it would entail. Now that we know, we have gone to plan B.
