Stay strong Whip. You can definitely do it. I love the Christmas surprise idea.
I surprised my girls with a Disney trip when I went for the marathon in January 2007. My surprise wasn't near as elaborate as yours though. I had park tickets wrapped up in boxes under the tree. The girls opened them as their last gift, saw the plastic cards and said "you got us credit cards?" They are now 10 and 7. When they figured out we were going to Disney they were bouncing off the walls. Mickey Mouse even called on Christmas day to tell them they were going. The cute thing was, DD7
(DD5 at the time), didn't realize it was a recording, and actually started talking to Mickey Mouse. She said, yeah, you know what? My Dad is going to run the marathon... It was very cute.
