DH and I were married 22 years ago today!! It's hard to believe because I certainly don't feel that old! We're leaving tomorrow AM for Washington DC and Philadelphia to look at colleges with DS17 (also DS13 and DS11) and see the sights. Since we're busy packing we decided to delay our celebration and go out while we're away one evening without the boys. Should be fun!

Congratulations!! Hope you have a successful trip and a fabulous anniversary!

Last night hubby and I were at the Bon Jovi concert and during the show they did a little "time travel" and went back to 1982 and their first song. We sang along - all the words. And then realized that it was 24 years ago. Not sure where the time went.

Happy Anniversary!!

BTW I used to work as an Admissions counselor at LaSalle University in Philly. If that is one you are seeing and you have any questions let me know.

Happy Anniversary!!! :cheer2: Our 20th is coming up on the 9th. We're also sending a DD to college in a couple weeks.

I hope you have a fantastic day!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce:

Have fun on the college tour. We toured the same area five or six years ago and really had a lot of fun. Since we also had a younger sibling with us, we made sure to take time and do other things like sightseeing and spending a day at Hershey Park in PA. After spending four days and touring a number of colleges, our daughter ended up going to a college closer to home that wasn't even on her list to tour! Oh well, the trip was still very informative and a lot of fun!

Happy Anniversary to you both, and happy hunting for that right college.....hope you have the best time..

Happy 22nd Anniversary!! :thumbsup2

Have a safe trip and good luck on your son's college quest. I remember those happy days all too well and traveling Md, Pa, Va. for the 'perfect' college. Be that as it may, three of ours chose in different Pa colleges. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes!

We have toured a few colleges already - Ohio State, Syracuse, Univ of Connecticut, Boston Univ, NorthEastern Univ, Univ of Massachusetts-Amherst. We're specifically going to see Univ of Maryland, Univ of Delaware and Villa Nova. DS would like a large school and would love a big sports program (spectator). He's thinking about majoring in computer engineering. His top picks right now are Northeastern and Ohio State (both DH and I are alumni). So we figure once he sees the next 3 on this trip, he'll have plenty to choose from. DH and I will take turns doing the college tours so we don't have to drag the other boys with us.

I have planned this trip almost like Disney - trying to pack lots of sight-seeing into the few days we have. It will be busy but fun and interesting and hopefully not too expensive! It's amazing how most things in DC are free (museums, zoo, monuments, etc) and we're staying at my cousin's condo which saved HUGE amounts on hotels.

Congrat's on your big day! We'll celebrate 20 next year and our DS is also going to be looking at colleges this year (I hope!).
