This afternoon (Belgian time), I have an intervew with one of the big bosses of a consulting firm, and I hope they will hire me! A couple of months ago, a consultant (F) of that company that works at the place I work now (can you still follow?) said that they were hiring. A couple of weeks ago, he asked if I had already applied, and I said no, because another consultant (M) of them who works here, was going to hand over my CV at the consulting firm, once her contract here was over. That way, I would have better chances to get hired, but that would only happen in January, because she works here until December (at least).
F said that was way too late, asked for my CV at that very moment, and did a first interview that evening (he has reached a high level in the company). He did put my CV on the right desk, and in a couple of hours, I have an interview with the big boss. I have skipped all the other interview rounds!!!! Which is somehow good, less stressy interviews for me, but also scary, because it kind of means they expect a lot from me!
Although I'm happy and excited, I'm also sad. My DBF hasn't called or emailed yet to wish me good luck, he didn't even call yesterday evening
Also, my mom has made very mean remarks on the F and M. She doesn't know them, she doesn't realize what they actually did for me, and yet she gives those nasty remarks. Just because she had to give up her career and feels that she has a lousy life (her own fault btw), she can't be happy for me, she can't be happy for all the good things that happen to me. (she also makes many nasty remarks on DBF, although she hasn't met him yet)
I hope that my interview will go well this afternoon, and that I'll soon be able to say that I have a new job!! Because I really want to leave the company I work for now!!
