On August 22, 1485, England's King Richard III was killed in the Battle of Bosworth Field, ending the War of the Roses.

On August 22, 1846, the United States annexed New Mexico.

On August 22, 1902 President Theodore Roosevelt became the first U.S. chief executive to ride in an automobile, in Hartford, Conn.

On August 22, 1996, President Clinton signed welfare legislation ending guaranteed cash payments to the poor and demanding work from recipients.

Geesh! I was all set to go home and decided to take one last look for you. You're keeping me overtime and management doesn't get paid overtime. The things I do for you............

I read that somewhere about Roosevelt and can't remember where.

PS. Some today's facts in Strange But True kinda sounded like TIH. I was afraid you might have thought I tried to steal you thunder.

Thanks, Deb.

Geesh, don't people understand about the truly important things in life, like the DIS?
