And you can't really truely grasp what happened there until you are in New York, and visit Ground Zero and the church that has a memorial museum set up inside..

Actually, you cannot truly grasp what happened unless you were there, or know people that were. I knew 30 of the people that died and my uncle was 10 minutes out on a ferry when the first plane hit. My wife actually had tickets for that first plane but decided not to go at the last minute. Scariest moments of my life until I called her and she answered.

To post or not to post...I thought long and hard...with kleenex...First, I think all posts to this thread were made with good intentions. For some of us today is quite a challenge. It is not easy to explain the emotion.

I'll never forget how I felt when learned about my friend being on the flight you wife decided not to take. I can not even begin to imagine what you went through. Or your family...30 people! There are no words.

Maybe this says it best...The day after my friend's service, my eyes were burning so much from the tears...I had to take another day off of work.

Edit: btw sorry if my first post was misleading in anyway. I was saying that I couldn't truely grasp exactly what happened that day until I went to New York and saw those places in person. I didn't have anyone that was as close to the tragedy as some of you did and I know this day is very hard for you. I give you my best wishes today and many hugs.
