Surprisingly crowded. We have been waiting for the Railroad for 15 minutes and we have got at least 15 more to go. Space mountain has a 100 minute wait and BTMR broke down the minute we walked up with our fast passes. But it still beats going to work!

At least you can return to BTMRR later. I think it is much better at night (especially during fireworks, if possible).

Ruh roh. Any idea why it's so crowded today?

I've been stalking the 'Lines' app for the last couple of weeks. It had today's crowds forecasted as a "2". But that's obviously not right... the wait times are as long as I've seen in the last couple of weeks. Now I'm nervous for next week...

No idea. We were here last year on the same dates and it was nice. We are going to be here until Thursday so I'll let you know how the crowds are. I expect today and Wednesday are going to be much lighter. Especially due to temperatures being into the 90s.

Never trust a TP crowd prediction.

Thanks! Appreciate it. We're planning Tues-Fri next week. I expect Friday to be moderately crowded but am still hoping for low crowds on T,W,Th. We'll see!

Mondays are rarely 2s just because people make long weekends.

Touring Plans are awful from my experience and I'd not trust them.

We were there the 1st week of May last year, TP predicted several days of 2s and nope, more like 5s.

I would also think the weather in the 90s will bring more people out, not less.

I think its the opposite. I find that the 90s will deter many annual pass holders. We went a couple times last year that were in the 90s and the lines were short... but was it hot :faint:

When the weather is in 70s and 80s though, gets pretty crowded...

Looking at the line apps and it seems lines are more on par with expectations today, yes?

My friend is there now and she said it was crazy crowded yesterday (Monday). Weird! That the line for Pirates was all the way to the Haunted Mansion. Space was like 100 minutes etc etc. She said it was like middle of summer or holiday weekend crowded.

I wonder what it was that caused everyone to go to DL yesterday?:hyper:

Well, POTC wasn't even open yesterday. It's down for referb. As is Indy, Small World, Alice and Nemo. I wAs in the parks yesterday and today. It's crazy!!! Was there a late spring break? Or is a school off track. There are a million AP's there. Also all the big rides keep going down. This morning Space and Matterhorn were down at the same time. We walked over to BTMRR and that was down. Oh well, I'll try again in September.

Today is not as bad as Monday at California adventure. The crowds are reasonable for 91 degrees at 1 in the afternoon. Big thunder mountain is broke down again as well as space mountain. Splash mountain has an 80 minute wait right now. We got passes for RSR first thing this morning. When we were getting our passes we noticed right next to the RSR fast pass distribution stand that a bugs life had an underground theater right next to it with an extended preview of the movie Maleficent playing. It was already hot so we went to cool off. It was pretty cool. We sat in the front row in the middle. They had a neat surprise for us at the end. If you go sit front and center!

:faint: maybe the gremlins are at work? ;) No, really.
I find one of the best times to visit my favorite ride attractions is during parades or fireworks, especially the fireworks. It has always been a walk on then for me. This being for the Matterhorn,
POTC, HM, Jungle Cruise and for the most part Indy as well. That and close to closing and at rope drop too.
In the end though, never really know what a situation is going to be like though, until your there, wherever there may be at the time. Like in life. :faint:
I am sure that you will have an awesome rest of the day at the land. Just try to stay cool, for it's about 92° F about right now in Anaheim.

We have been here since Saturday and are very surprised at the high crowds too. We expected it to die down yesterday (Monday) and today, but no luck. A lot of rides were down this morning & afternoon because of high winds (according to a few cast members we asked).

I don't think Disney has a good handle on the crowd levels anymore (shorter hours, just 1 side running for Matterhorn, not enough cast members staffing the shops, etc. I'm beginning to think weekends are better because of the longer hours and more staffing. We got far more done sat/sun with the earlier opening times. When the parks open later everyone is there for rope drop.

It is crazy crowded. We've been here since Sunday. I was expecting crowds but not like this. On top of all the closures for refurbishments there have been a lot of breakdowns. Dumbo and Matterhorn were not working for EMH this morning. We also tried riding BTMR 3 times and Winnie the pooh twice but they were broken. Splash was broken the first time we tried to ride but we finally got to ride it on our second try. This is the same week we've come the last 2 years and had low crowds. Not this year! I'm starting to think maybe the weekends with the longer hours is the way to go. Might have to try that out next time.

Big Thunder was only down for a little while today. One of the factors of the big crowds is how many rides are down for refurbs. Closing Pirates and Indy at the same time is madness.
