today at DL

Have any of you who've been in the parks this week eaten at BB? What's the situation, is it drained, are there walls up?

On FB, I noticed that several of my Bay Area friends were on Spring Break, and at Disneyland, so maybe the late Spring Break is contributing to the madness.

My son and I will be there next week (Weds and Thursday) May 7-8th. All of the crowd prediction sites (yes, I know this aren't always accurate) said it would be a ghost town on those 2 days, but who knows.

I'm crossing my fingers he isn't totally set on meeting Anna and Elsa, because that will eat up 2 hours of our day. He likes redheads, so hopefully meeting Merida will make him happy, and if he is able to find Ariel, that will be a bonus, of course the Little Mermaid ride is on refurb too....go figure.

Today has been the best this week so far. The crowds are still pretty high but not as bad as yesterday or Monday. With wise use of the our fast passes, we have not had to wait around very much. The Santa Ana winds have made my allergies kind of bad and tomorrow is going to be 100+ degrees so we are going to pass on going to the parks tomorrow and go home instead. The Santa Ana winds are just too much for me this week.

I'm glad to heart hints are starting to die down. We were in the parks sun - ties, drove home today. I planned the dates around the expectation of low crowds, and I was really disappointed. I don't do crowds well, and when you throw in the heat, well.... On Monday afternoon I asked a CM if the crowd levels were what they were expecting, and he told me that that was supposed to have been their first slow day in a month, and were surprised at the crowd as well.

It is going to seem more crowded, you have several high capacity attractions down for refurb at the same time.. Small World, Indy, and Pirates always have a ton of people in their lines and going through the attraction. Pirates and IASW particularly are long rides so there is always a ton of people inside the attraction itself as well as in line. Not to mention the Little Mermaid in DCA, which is another people eater. Hopefully Refurbs have reached the boiling point and after next week things start reopening and the other attractions get some relief.
