toasters in rooms

How many DVC members call housekeeping when they get there to have a toaster delivered to their studios when they get there? Wouln't it be easier if they just put a toaster in each studio?
We always request one when we make the reservation but there is never one in the room when we arrive.

We just stayed in a studio in April at OKW and the toaster & can opener where already in the studio, we didn't have to call. They may be doing it automatically to save housekeeping from having to make extra trips.

VB had a toaster in the room when we were there in May. Maybe they just decided to put them in all the rooms.

In mid-May we checked into BWV studio. We called house keeping for a toaster,it arrived shortly. DW tried to toast a bagel,toaster didn't work. I called housekeeping and before I could even tell them the problem,the girl said "the toaster doesn't work,does it" .When I concurred, she went on to explain that they thought it was broke. Now,it's no big deal,even a little funny, but if they thought it was bad, why didn't they just plug it in and check it real quick. The 2nd one was brand new,right out of the box.

My wife and I were just as BWV and had to request a toaster as well, and a brand new one (still in box) was delivered. We too were at VB just prior and the room had a toaster upon arrival. Seems that the resorts are not consistent.

The biggest question I had though, was why do they only put 4 cup coffee makers in the studios at BWV? At VB they put a 10 cup coffee maker in the Inn Rooms, they sleep the same number of people.

If any one knows or has a theory, I would love to hear it!

They put a toaster in our room during our stay in early April while we were there. We had not requested it. We were wondering if they were putting themin all units or not. We were at OKW.

I'm pretty sure I read a few months ago that toasters were going into all OKW studios-as well as cork screws. I was also told that the reason all DVC studios don't have them is because when the unit is used as part of a 2 bdrm or GV,there is already a toaster in the main kitchen.Now it seem at OKW at least that studios are becoming very popular and since everybody is requesting them it was simplier just to put them in.
