To trade a Vehicle or Not to Trade......Help!

We really like our 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan. It has alot of room plus the back seats fold into the floor and the middle seats move. We went to Florida in it last summer and had plenty of room (2 teens, DH and me.) We packed up all of older DS's stuff for college and got it there in one trip plus the 4 of us in the van. We are definately "minivan people."

I have fallen in love with a new Toyota 4-Runner. It is sky blue, leather interior, I just love it!!!!

I think the sticker price was in the 31,000 range. The blue book on the Tahoe is between 28-29. There aren't many rebates on the Toyota but I think if they want to make the deal they will even swap them.

I called and told them that I would like to look into an even swap (yesterday they were saying there would be a $2,000 difference.....ummmm NO I'm not that stupid) I told them that we were going to see what their bottom line was (EVEN hopefully) and then we were going to Jackson (state cap. with tons of dealerships) on Saturday.

SO hopefully if they want to make the sell they will agree to an even swap. I'm sure Jackson could possibly beat the deal and I'm sure they know this so we will see????

I have decided to try and sell the Explorer myself. Trade in Value would be much less and believe it or not we have quite a few people showing an interest. ****sigh***** I loved my Explorer!


OH!!! I drove a Dodge Caravan Mini-Van and I ADORED IT but DH said NO! He said he isn't driving a Mini-Van around town. I loved it and it would have been so handy for school and sports!
