To Tour Or Not To Tour?

I usually don't visit WDW alone, but I will be alone this February when I go for three days.

I'm debating whether to take the Backstage Magic tour. On one hand, no one I ever go to WDW would want to do this, so this solo trip might be my only chance to take the tour. On the other hand, I'm not sure if I want to devote one whole day of my three days just for this.

Any thoughts?

Your dilemma is certainly justified. On our last visit, I did the Richard Petty Driving and we took the AK Backstage Safari tour. For a four night vacation, I felt that we "lost" a day of park enjoyment. Both activities were fun and worth the time, but the remainder of our visit felt rushed.

I suggest that you take a 1/2 day tour and stay in that park for the day (if there is more you want to see). Your remaining two days can be devoted to the other parks.

I would go for the full day tour....it is amazing. I also read many reports that you would just want to crash after the tour but I didn't find that to be true. I spent an hour on my balcony (at VWL) and than off to the parks til late at night. I was surprised on my first solo trip how much more you could do in a day.

Have a great time

I had considered the Segway tour, but upon reading further about it, I discovered I'm... over the weight limit. :confused3

But I am losing, so there's always another trip for that.

You know, I think I will. if I miss something in the parks, I can always catch that next time, but as I said, when I'm at WDW with someone else, I probably won't be able to take the full-day tour.

Although I need to check out on the morning of the fourth day, I have some flexibility in terms of when I actually leave WDW, so I can always do some things at the parks on that day as well.

Actually, this is going to be a busy trip. I recently joined DVC, so I also want to go around and look at the various DVC resorts on property (including the one where I actually bought, which I won't be staying at this time).
