If you know a list of exits with McDonald's Playlands or play areas in general can you post them?

I want options for my girls to get out thier energy on our trip in Dec...

I got a list of them from the Mcdonalds website last year. I don't know if they still have them listed or not but you might want to check. I think they had some sort of mapquest type thing, where you put in your starting and stopping destinations and they list all of the mcdonalds on your route. The only problem we had was that they don't tell you whether they are indoor or outdoor and since we were traveling in July, we were only interested in indoor. It was just too hot to spend time at outdoor ones so we still spent some time pulling on and off the highway to check out whether they were indoor or outdoor. Some of the burger kings had them too but I couldn't find any information on the web about them. HTH!

You can buy an I95 exit info guide. It is great. I have one. It tells you what's at each exit and gives so much info. Also, you can check out their site and jot down the Mc D's yourself.

We do this drive every year from NY and have used this site for a hotel in route. Also for the exit info. It also tells where the rest stops are and what facilities are available.

You may also want to do a search for Chick-Fil-A (www.chickfila.com) restaurants along the way. They are always VERY clean and most have nice indoor (air conditioned) play areas. We stopped at several on the way last time, and I meant to keep a log but forgot. I will next time.

Energy was suprisingly not an issue for us a few weeks back. Our 16 hour dirve was so easy going down that we went straight through.

How old are your kids? our 4 year old watched dvds withg a headset or played on the gameboy the whole way and the rest of us (mom, dad, ds10) listened to the latest harry potter book on CD. IM telling you that I cannot convey how well this worked.

Good Morning,
We live in Rocky Mount, NC about a 10 hr trip to Disney, I’m not sure if this may be a nice midway point for you, if so we have a wonderful spray park for kids, ~ about 20 various sprinklers & large playset all fenced in, I believe it’s only a $1.00 per child & open until 7p ~ if this is something that may work for you let me know & I will get more info & also a few hotel options. Simba, when we took a road trip a few years back, our kids were 6 and 18mos. An hour into it we were ready to throw someone, ANYONE, out the window. We stopped and bought HP3 on cd. I never would have believed it but they both sat quietly and listened to it the entire way down and back.

Harry potter books have been a life saver on our trips! They are so much fun to listen to.

We usually pack a picnic lunch for our first travel day and stop a a rest area to eat. The kids have a chance to run around a little and not bother anyone.

I live in Richmond Hill, GA and we have a McDonald's on I95 that has a playland. I think it's exit 87, just south of Savannah. The McDonald's at exit 94, surprisingly, does not have a playland. Gas is also cheaper in Richmond Hill than in Savannah.

We usually make some sandwiches the am before we leave, or whatever anyone wants, and try to stop at a rest stop to eat lunch at one of the picnic tables. There are rest stops pretty often.There are bathrooms, the kids could get a few pamphlets, and it's fun to take a ball for them to kick around on the grassy area. That way, the food is better, they get excercise, you avoid all of the kiddy sick germs from those playsets at mickey d's. Just throw away the trash, wash the hands and get back on the road. We do also have a dvd player in our car, with a splitter from radio shack(if not built in with cordless headphones), so that both kids can listen to the movie. Ahhh..quiet. Have fun!
