Thank you! This morning on the bus to HS from Sports our two year old threw up on the bus. People on the bus were awesome! We had bags, wipes, klenixes...so fast. If needed I felt like a few would have given their shirts off their their backs.

Not a great way to start our trip but felt the disney magic with helpfulness of other people and cms. Now we are praying girlie gets better soon as we are holed up in our room and she has thrown up multiple times. Daddy and grandma are sick too...hope grandpa and myself stay well.

Oh, your poor little one. Hope all is well soon! And so nice to hear that your fellow guests were kind and helpful. So many times some other parent has come to my rescue with wipes or a diaper or a few minutes distracting my child. I'm so grateful when that happens and try to pay it forward when I can.

OH no! Hope everyone is better very soon. pixie dust:

Just out of curiosity, do they take the bus out of commission to clean it? We were on the bus to mk a few years ago and a little girl threw up. Like your experience, everyone handed them paper towels, wipes etc. They walked off the bus and went into the park and nobody told the bus driver (we got off the back way, but heard another couple saying that they were surprised the family did not tell the driver.) All I kept thinking was how awful I felt for the next passengers. The seat was just wiped off with some tissues. Now I know I am a bit of a germ-o-phobe, but that seat, floor, surrounding area needed to be disinfected so the next passengers don't get that bug (if it was a bug and not car sickness. Still gross)

Let us know how you all are tomorrow op, it stinks to be sick like that, especially on vaca. I hope a night of rest will do wonders for everyone. :)

We had a similar experience a few years ago when our older DD threw up on a bus to EPCOT. We were mortified about it, but we fortunately had all kinds of ways to clean up for her (we also had a baby with us, and all the cleaning supplies to go with a baby, at the time). People didn't rush to help us, but I think that was at least partially due to seeing we had plenty of stuff to clean with. I don't know if the bus was taken out of commission for deeper cleaning later, but I hope it was. The driver didn't have to be told in our case. There were maybe 8 people on the bus, so the one throwing up commanded a lot of attention. :( He wished our DD a speedy recovery. Fortunately for DD it was a 24-hour bug for her (and really only about 8 hours in reality) and nobody else in our family caught it. We were back at a park the next day after a day of rest.

The bus driver did clean it up. It was mostly on the floor and we helped wipe most of it up. He held the bus for awhile and then things got going again.

Ohhhh I hope it is just a one day thing.....will take prayers and Pixie dust please. ;)

Sorry for the rough start to your day.

Thanks for sharing though. I'm glad that there were others willing to help out in an unpleasant situation.

My DD11 got sick waiting at the bus stop leaving EPCOT one day this early summer. A very nice foreign couple gave us lots of tissues and some moist make up removal wipes. It was so nice. Then the next day she thought she was feeling better but got sick on the bus just before we got to the MK. She threw up into her hat so we avoided most of the mess on the bus. The driver was great. He stopped at a stop very close to the MK entrance so we could get cleaned up quickly. We only stayed at the MK for an hour or so and had to cancel our LeCellier reservation for that afternoon. I canceled the LeCellier ressie at the concierge desk at the Coronado Springs resort and was prepared to pay the penalty for a late cancellation (about 5 hours before) but the Concierge said that he would take care of it. He also asked if there was anything that Disney could do for my DD. There was nothing she needed but time but it was a nice offer. She was good to go the next day. Just a 24 hour thing and nobody else caught it.

Sure sorry to hear daddy & grandma are sick too! I do hope you and grandpa can stay well, and the rest recover quickly. No fun. Poor everyone.
Glad to hear fellow guests showed compassion and were helpful and kind.
There are good medical facilities if needed. We used Centra Care a couple times, and was so thankful for them when my daughter had 102 fever one trip and was very sick the whole trip, and when I had a bad allergic reaction another trip. The one trip we never left POR.

So sorry your trip is off to a rough start! But that's awesome that the other people were nice and helpful! One of my husband's favorite quotes when we're at WDW is "Thankfully, almost everyone else here has had children." He said it one time when our then 2 yr old DS was being particularly obnoxious, and I just found it really funny. But it's so true - almost everyone at Disneyworld has been in some kind of similar situation and usually has sympathy, compassion, and patience (rather than the judgement and impatience I sense at the grocery store / restaurants / other public venue outside of WDW). That's one of the many reasons we love taking our DS to WDW!

I hope you all get better and can get back to your vacationing very soon!

Two nights ago my 20 month old granddaughter had a major blowout in HS. All over mom, too. The people in the bathroom were awesome as well! Most were asking if they could help, and she really needed more baby wipes. It became a thing as each person passed they would give her more hand towels. Everyone was so kind and understanding. Then a CM went out and got both the baby and Mom new t shirts at no charge! Awesomer!
