Well.. to our disappointment, we will not be coming back to Illinois for the job in Aurora....

Dh.. did not get the job.. :( It is hard to take because it all just kind of fell into his lap at an opportune moment and it seemed to be a done deal.. not so.. not so... ( maybe I should have read the head hunter thread more)

The kids are happy tho.. to be staying in Ca.
I am trying very hard to put our future in God's hands..to guide us where HE wants us to be at this time of our lives. I am not good at it.. but I will continue to try.

To those of you here who were so very helpful and supportive.. many heartfelt Thank-you's!!! and if I could ask to remain in your prayers regarding a new improved employment outlook for Barry I would certainly appreciate it.

btw.. My ROADTRIP to the Midwest is still ON!

THANK YOU AGAIN!
Joan

Aww Joan that really is too bad. I was really hoping this would work out for you.:( :( :(

What is wrong with that company?

Joan, I am very sorry it did not work out for DH.:( I will definately keep you, DH and the family in my prayers.

Glad your roadtrip is still on! Enjoy!

Joan, I'm really disappointed that you won't be moving here. :(

Try to remember though that when one door closes, a window usually opens. Hopefully your DH will find a great job soon.

shucks Joan:( There goes your weekly get together with Kim:(

I'm sorry DH did not get the job, but who knows........there just may be something better around the corner..........

Hang in there & have faith.........;)

Thanks guys.. knew I could count on you all!

Dh and I have been giving this news to our Ca. neighbors and friends.. and they have said that they are very happy that we will be staying... feeling selfish about it.. but were happy anyway... lol

I am sorry that your hubby did not get the job. I know exactly how you feel. We moved here for a great job which laid my husband off 3 months later. He got another job quickly, but the pay was much less. Two years later, with the bad economy, he was laid off again. Now he is doing contract work. Good money but no security and a LONG commute. We have no idea how long it will last or what he will do next. We are from the south and dying to go back. Many companies only consider local candidates now. I can tell you I live in Naperville, very close to Aurora, and there are lots of people already here who are out of work. Unless you have a very rare or specific skill it is really tough out there now. We also believe that God has a plan for us and we want to be in His will but it is very hard for me to remain positive through all of this. Good luck to you and your family. I will pray for you and would appreciate it if you would do the same for us. My hubby does IT project management, has a masters degree, and is very smart and hard working. I keep hearing the economy is picking up but we sure don't see it. Most jobs he applies for don't even acknowledge getting his resume... Lacee
