To take the Disney transportation or not?

We will be staying at SSR this upcoming week and are wondering if it would be faster to drive our car to the parks or take the Disney transportation? I think we get free parking at the parks, so that's not an issue, we're just wanting the quickest, easiest way to get there. Thanks in advance!

You'll never get a clear consensus here on the DIS! There are people who swear by Disney transportation and others who swear by driving.

One thing pretty much everyone will agree on: it is easier to take a bus to the MK. If you drive: after you park your car you will still need to walk to the tram station, wait for a tram, take a tram to the TTC, walk to the monorail or ferry, then take the monorail or ferry to the MK gate area.

Disney buses leave you off at the MK gate area.

I agree, alot of what you will read here is opinion and personal preferences.

Almost without a doubt, MK is better to take the WDW transpo. We only tend to drive to AK, to take out the 'waiting for a bus' factor, and we try to plan that day to springboard somewhere else (like DTD), so it works better to have the car right there when we leave the park.
