To Split or Not to Slpit Days (Epcot & DHS)

Only have two full days @ WDW. We'll definately do MK all day (opening to close).

The other day, having trouble deciding which park (Epcot or DHS)? My kids love both parks.

We have un-used park hopper tix so we may do both parks.

Should we do Epcot first and then leave to go DHS in late afternoon and see Fantasmic?

Will it be worth it to do both?

Also, not sure when we'll be going? That split day may Friday, July 3rd (possibly the day before). Will we be able to get into the 2nd park. Or will fill to capitcaity and be unable to enter?

Kids do like TSM, if we get there late afternoon, will there be any Fast Pass left? When it first opened it, Fast Passes were gone immediately.

Looks like you're going in early July, when crowd levels will be high. Given that, I wouldn't try to do a split day where I'd be arriving at DHS late. We did that last August and didn't enjoy our DHS day. TSM FPs were gone by the time we arrived (around noon), and the standby waits for both ToT and RnRC were long (about 60 minutes each), with FP returns for both at early evening.

If you do it the other way around, you're likely to face the same thing when you arrive at Epcot: Soarin FPs gone (or very late in the evening), with significant standby waits/FP return windows for TT and M:S.

The 1 advantage of doing Epcot second is you can always go to World Showcase. But if your kids are young and not into WS, that's not going to help much.

If I were in your shoes, I'd poll the family and figure out which park they're more interested in and go to that park for the entire day.
