to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

Thanks for starting this thread Amy!!!

Ok....so I go to my son's therapy for half and hour and an errand before that...come back and there are 8 new pages?!!!! I got worried :scared: that something had happened and emails went out, but alas, we are all still here and just getting anxious. I have to head out again for parent teacher conferences, so hopefully that will take my mind off of the waiting and dare I say it, there will be something waiting in my inbox later? :confused3

Continued pixiedust:to all of us :rolleyes1:hourglass

Oh, Amy, your Vegas story made my Diet Sunkist go right through my nose :lmao: :rotfl2:

I'm hoping DH sticks with the poker rooms :thumbsup2

Yay!!! :cool1: A new home!!! :grouphug:

Dawn I was just about to quote your post about your "personal philosophy" and sing to you!!!! It's Dawn's problem freeeeee philosophyyyyy Hakuna Matata!!!:simba:

I am slap happy and half crazy today I swear!! :upsidedow I think I just performed every song from Finding Nemo the musical for my kids as I was cooking dinner. :rotfl: How about THAT for a dream Disney job??? :cloud9: You guys don't even know how hard it is for me to sit through that show and not jump up and start singing along!!! :dance3: My poor kids are about to call the men in white coats to come and take me away. I haven't slept, or eaten, or accomplished anything in days. If I didn't have you guys I don't know what I'd do. Even if you all make it and I don't I'm still going to stay here and cheer for you guys. :cheer2: TEAM 2013!!!!!

Wow! There seem to be quite a few from Texas! Who all is from the Dallas/fort worth area?

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone . As I said, once I got cleaned up, I could see that I did not hurt myself too badly with that faceplant. Scrapes and bruises, for the most part - it just stung like the dickens, since I fell in a very sandy section of the trail.

@Amy - I'm pretty sure that you're breaking the Vegas code or something. ;) I've never been there; as I said, I made pull-tab lottery games, so I know who is going to come out of a casino with lots of money - and it's not me.

Off to get a quick dinner ready, then it's scout night. Tomorrow is conferences after school, plus the school fund raising night.

Okay I was considering Vegas as a possibility for vacation for DH and I, but Amy your story gave me the nope not for me moment. I like strawberries served by my hand (or DH's ;)) and my mousekeepers bottoms fully covered!

I'm in the Austin area. :thumbsup2

I've been working and not able to get on and BOOM yall blow up the old thread with silliness! :rotfl2: Yall are making the waiting fun.

BTW- I'm using my pink magic 8-ball and calling it for emails on Fri or Sat. princess:

Good luck with P/T conferences! :thumbsup2 We just had ours Monday night. I always like meeting the teachers and talking to them one on one. Both my boys are in middle school this year so we had 14 teachers to cover! ;)

Exactly! :thumbsup2 Hubby and I are not gamblers. But I went with him a few years ago because he had a conference for work. So, we spent 6 days there. It was neat, we walked the whole strip, saw all the hotels and a few shows. We sat in on a time share, and got free tickets to Zumanity. We thought "oh, cool, a Cirque Du Soleil Show".:thumbsup2 Well, we get there, and there all all these signs at the ticket line that say "No admittance for anyone under 18 years of age".:scratchin And we looked at each other and said "huh?" :confused3 So, we sit in our seats, lots of average people like us, married couples, etc.popcorn:: All of a sudden several of these rather "buxom" ladies come out dressed in French Maid costumes, carrying trays of strawberries...feeding the men and sticking their hineys in faces! :rotfl2: Well, that was tame compared to what the show was like. :scared1: Under 18... mmm hmmm, I think it should have been " no admittance for anyone under 18, and anyone named Amy Leto".::yes:: It was Cirque du Soleil, but all the acrobats were nakey!

We are headed to Vegas in less than a month. I have been once before last May. We went there to see the Glee Concert & the Billboard Awards. Well, we scored a good deal on tickets to show called Absinthe which is outside Caesar's. Needless to say it sounds like it might have been similar to Zumanity because there were lots of raunchy jokes and half naked ladies. It wasn't really my cup of tea but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. :rotfl2:

Where is Festival of the Lion King when you need it? :)

We just spent the last hour and a half listening to Disney World music. My oldest daughter was in another room working on homework and she'd guess every song that came on.

I started playing the "Must Do's" and she immediately yelled out "STACY!!!" just from the theme song.

(Yeah, I think that's a sign that we go to WDW a lot)

:thumbsup2

So, I thought a lot about this. I grew up in Gilroy, CA which is famous for garlic, so, maybe a garlic braid? I currently live in MD, so I guess Old Bay seasoning, but it's not really something I like....would have to think about that some more. I could also represent Chico, CA...where my extended family currently resides. Maybe something from Sierra Nevada Brewing?

Definitely fun to think about:) !

Since peaches will be way out of season, I was thinking that I would bring praline pecans. I'm not a big fan, but everyone I know loves them. I think they are too sweet.

Or I could bring southern wine glasses. I've seen them referred to as redneck wine glasses further north.

Since the Falcons are doing well, I could bring something Falcons.

I am so excited!!! I have been dying to get one of the Saint John Port of Call pins that Disney put out for the new Disney Magic Ports of call out of NYC. You can only get them on the boat and I don't know anyone who has been on any of the sailings. I have been checking Ebay religiously and there was finally one on there just now! :cool1:

I am from Saint John and still work there and live just outside the city. Its so cool that I get to combine Disney and my hometown! :thumbsup2

Happy Wednesday to me :cheer2:

After reading Anna's report and seeing those cute Mickey ears someone made I had this great idea! :) I'm not very crafty but somewhere in this house I have about 10 golden Mickey ears leftover from the 05/05/05 celebration! Wouldn't it be cool to totally bling them out with glitter, rhinestones, etc, to give everyone? Maybe get them stitched with MP2013?? I love the idea of matching ears! :earsgirl::earsboy::earsgirl::earsboy: Heck even if I don't make it maybe I'll just mail you all some! :lmao:

You just made me completely laugh out loud with this!! :rotfl2:

and I can relate completely. Get sooooo nervous about making it to R3!! :crazy2:

I'm glad I made you laugh, I was actually laughing at myself..
Normally I don't have a tiara on, ironically I walked past my tiara in my room & just put it in my hair & really forgot it was on---felt so natural I guess. Then it just so happened to be lunch time, so I grabbed leftover chicken & dumplings from my fridge & started eating---then he walked in.....BUSTED--funny situation.:crazy2:
