To reserve or not to reserve?

That is the question? We are goinf early Feb. 05 , 7 nights GF. We have an AP. Should we book now and hope to get AP discount applied when they are released? Or, will Disney release less rooms with AP discount, due to people like me holding rooms at full rack rate? Or, would they possible flag my rack rate reservation and not apply an AP, seeing my every Feb. visit history, and figure I'm coming regardless; therefore offer me no discount?

Personally, I would make a reservation now. I just wouldn't be comfortable waiting until the last minute. If AP rates become available for your stay, Disney will either apply them to your existing reservation, or allow you to cancel and make a new reservation at the discounted rate.
