so my kids, 11,9,7 and Dh and I are going oct 13-18. Original plan was not to do the party and do 4 days at the parks and then just watch fireworks from poly and eat Ohana. Now kids and I are going a day early and thinking of doing 4 park days and then the party only on last day.

I've never spent the money on it before because they were little and couldn't stay up that late. It would be an extra $400 for us to go so looking for opinions on it please.

Ohana OOP would run you around $250. I would gladly give that up and add the extra to do the party. It is the best party Disney puts on, the park transforms, folks are dressed up, Hocus Pocus show and Parade are awesome. Everyone loves some trick or treat. Specialty characters, cool photopass and entertainment. If you have never been, do some research to know what all is happening and where so you maximize your time.

I guess when I way out dinner vs party. If I buy the tickets can I then do fast passes at 4pm? We love Halloween and Hocus Pocus so I think we are sold! I just hate that we splurged to do a poly studio 2 nights and won't really be there but we will hang there that morning and afternoon Before party. Maybe we can do ohana or something that morning.

I used to do the FP+, not sure how it's working for this year.

We found our best parties we took the day off, went in at 4 pm. Had some pool time and relaxed. We have done a big character breakfast buffet mid morning and a late table service lunch before the party. A couple times we did an early dinner but that was just too much for us.

We are flying to WDW for a trip based around going to MNSSHP, so we think it's worth it. And we've never even seen it! We've done the Disneyland version (Mickey's Halloween Party) about 4 times and loved it so we are super excited to see the WDW version. I would think if you were going to WDW in mid October it would be a great time to see the party! Either way, have a great trip!

The fireworks are amazing, parade is the best, hocus pocus show is great, low wait times for rides, special characters (if you think they are worth the wait) and trick or treating! I'm in my 20s and my favorite part is the trick or treating because I can feel like a kid for the night. I definitely would do the party over dinner. 100% worth it.

We went to the party on Tuesday night (8/29). We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. The characters in costume are a kick, trick or treating in MK is so cool, and the fireworks were fantastic. We didn't even get the full effect as we watched them from the porch at Pecos Bill's and they were amazing! DD6 loved riding rides with no lines, so we missed parade times, but everything else was top notch. The unique photo ops were so cool: headless horseman, hitchhiking ghosts, lantern shot...etc. It is totally worth the $$ for the experience at least once. We would do it again without a second thought. My only complaint is that there just isn't enough time to do everything you want to do!

Thank you all!!! We are doing it!! Now trying to come up with a costume theme! We have done Alice, Toy story and Peter Pan in the past. We have 2 girls, 1 boy and DH and I.

Well- now I think not. I repriced it for the day we would
Go and it's $475 for us to go. I just can't justify that for one day. That's our food budget for the entire time!
