To golf, or not to golf?

Hi...I'm looking for a little advice please...

My son (age 8) and I are staying at Disney on property next week.

Neither ine of us golf (I've tried in the past), but I thought it would be fun to book a golf lesson for us on Satirday and then play the nine hole course on Tuesday. I thought it would be cool bonding time with him.

Now I'm wondering if we'd have more fun using that time in the parks and/or pool at the hotel (on-site)? I know this is a personal decision, but can anyone offer words of wisdom one way or the other? I guess I'm having second thoughts--thinking we could golf anywhere....

Thanks

Since neither of you golf, may I suggest fishing or boating? Both are available on Disney property and offer an equivalent bonding opportunity IMHO.

There are two (4 courses) miniature golf courses on property. If you booked a package, then you get two free rounds before 4 pm. That sounds like more fun than taking a lesson for a sport I'd probably never do when I got home. The Disney Mini courses are well themed and fun for everyone.

Never even thought of that. I also figure a week together--just him and me (I'm divorced)--is a pretty good bonding experience. Polynesian hotel, Park hopper and the best theme parks in the world....

Yes! You just reminded me hat I have FREE passes to the mini golf courses. Awesome!! Thanks.
