Thanks, you too!!My DH and I are in our 60's and fully vaccinated. We are going October 21-November 8th and I'm a little nervous. I'm actually more worried about coming home to my adult kids although they all have been vaccinated also you never know where you are going to pick up the virus....in the parks, getting back and forth from the parks, where you eat, at the air port...you just don't know. We are still going because as you say, we aren't getting any younger! I am going to get tested the first chance I get when I arrive back home just for my peace of mind. You all have a SAFE, HEALTHY and most of all FUN trip!
I feel the same way. Both of my kids are too young to be vaccinated and we are just waiting and watching to decide what to do with our December to January trip. It’s not an easy choice. I hope that your DLR trip works out!If vaccinated, I wouldn't have near the concerns and would practice safety precautions. But with an unvaccinated child, it's a different story. We have DLR scheduled for October and praying every day that the vaccine for under 12 comes out before our trip gets here.
No b/c it was when they had no masks for vaccinated ppl & we thought we were safeDid you wear masks?
Yeah but loss of smell & taste still not 100% & still have mild shortness of breath. You both are OK now?
We just got back 8/4, whole family vaccinated and my son tested positive for Covid. He got tested because he started to feel bad on the 3rd. The rest of us have our rapid Covid tests tomorrow to see if we have it and are asymptomatic or if by some miracle he’s the only one of us to get it.DH & I both are vaccinated & came home with Covid.
Just curious if you were there before the new mask guidelines took effect? Or were all guests masked in queues and attractions during your trip? We were there when the indoor mask mandate came into effect again. We didn’t wear masks (except for transportation) as we thought we were safe since we had all been fully vaccinated. Once the indoor rules came back into place we wore our masks as required…sometimes even outside as we started to feel more uncomfortable in the crowds. It would have been easier to wear masks outside also if it wasn’t 100 degrees outside but that is the reality of Florida in the summer.Just curious if you were there before the new mask guidelines took effect? We are having a nice time but I’m totally on edge a lot. It definitely takes the magic away.
For me this is the biggest reason to cancel - even if I can convince myself that it's a fairly low risk to my unable-to-be-vaccinated kids, I just do not want to invest the time and money into a Disney vacation where I have to spend every minute monitoring the crowd levels and behavior of people around me and just generally worrying about which decision might be the one I regret; it just sounds like the opposite of relaxing.
