To get from Epcot to off-site hotel

I just got the bus schedule for our off-site hotel. It changes weekly, but if this week's schedule is any indication, the MK times and the Epcot arrival time is fine but the bus going back to the hotel from Epcot is way too late! Do taxis wait at Epcot by chance? But with a taxi I suppose we would have to have a car seat for the 3 year old?

We have a towncar to/from the airport and planned on the shuttle bus to/from hotel. DH does not want to drive down there and except for that one evening the shuttle bus should be fine. Any suggestions for that one trip from Epcot to off-site but close hotel?

I know nothing about the monorail- do you suppose it would be possible to ride the monorail from Epcot to MK in time to catch the MK shuttle? We don't have park hopper, but would we need it if we are just in the parking lot or whatever?

Ugh, I didn't realize that possibly the only bus to leave Epcot wouldn't be till 10 pm!

I hear that there are taxi stands at all the parks, and I guess that means the TTC for MK. Ask Guest Services to show you where. You can also ask them for a phone number of a car service to come and pick you up. The only difficult times might be at park closing.

You can easily take the monorail to Mk.

I have to say and I'm not doing it to be nasty just to point out that this is the main reason not to stay offsite and use their shuttle. It runs on their time, not yours. Is there anyway you can stay at a Disney hotel and use their bus system which runs every 15 minutes at the most, sometimes sooner.

i have never seen a taxi stand anywhere at any of the parks so i wouldnt count on that.you could take the monorail to mk but you have to remember on many night mk closes before epcot so be sure they will still have the monorail running there

ask at the front desk - sometimes if they know you want to come early - one of the going to buses can take you back...

does that make sense?

There are taxi stands in the parks, they are located in the middle of the bus stands. They redid all the bus areas a year or so ago. Keep in mind it will probably cost about $20 to get back to your hotel.

Another option would be to exit out the back of Epcot via the International Gateway (between the UK and France). There is a boat dock there or you can simply walk. The goal would be to go to either the Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club Resort. Both resorts typically have taxis waiting out front. The valets will be happy to help you get a cab.

Yeah, next time (if there is a next time) will be on-site...but I am locked into this reservation so we'll make the best of it! Sounds like a taxi is not too hard to get but what about a car seat for the 3 year old? We might just try the monorail to MK and get the early hotel bus there. If nothing else we still have feet...

There will not be any car seats in the cabs. Don't know if you were kidding or not about having feet, but no way you can walk to any of the places, or from offsite to the parks.

Good luck to you.
