To food-finity and beyond! Attention Star Command, dining reviews/photos ahead!

Next day, Cosmic Rays for lunch. Since we used 2 credits at Cinderella's Royal Stable we were short a meal for this day and were paying OOP. We chose to do a counter service at Cosmic Rays since you can eat pretty cheaply. We were hoping for better luck with the burgers!

Jesse had the nuggest and cookie again. She actually ate the nuggets this time but skipped the fries and cookie. She is so random!:confused3

Woody, Wheezy and I all got the hamburger with floppy bacon and fries. Wheezy and I pulled the floppy bacon off but Woody left his on. We had fun with the conidments bar adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and Wheezy even tried cheese fries for the first time. He liked them! A lot of people complain about the burger buns falling apart but ours didn't. They didn't last time we had burgers here either. They are wheat buns, but I don't think the "falling apart" issue was bad in our opinions.

We rank this meal an "F" on the U.F.O. scale. The burgers WERE better this time. That was nice! We cringed at paying $2.50 for a fountain drink and that was a sour moment for us. It was easier when we had the credits!

We took the boat downtown for our last dinner of the trip. We used our last credits to get Wolfgang Pucks once again. Woody wanted to try the pizza since he got the spaghetti last time.

Woody and Wheezy both got the pepperoni pizza. Both of them scarfed it down as if it were the best pizza ever. The crust here at Wolfgangs is so good! It is crispy and done brick oven style. The pepperoni looked a bit greasy and Woody did comment it was a little much grease but he still ate it all.

Jesse got her cheese pizza. She ate about one piece and was done.
IMG_3884.jpg

I tried the salmon. It was so good! They had fingerling potatoes under a bed of fancy lettuces (I have no idea what kind they were...certainly not your normal iceberg) and then they put the salmon on top. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Honestly it was probably one of the best salmon meals I've ever eaten. They did squirt a vinagrette around the dish/lettuce that I could have lived without but it didn't really bother me either. This was one of my favorite dishes of the trip. Wish I would have had that the first time we went there too instead of the pizza (which was also good!)
IMG_3886.jpg

We all got frozen yogurt for dessert. Everyone had vanilla but I had strawberry added to mine.
IMG_3891.jpg

We rated Wofgang Pucks at a "U" on the U.F.O. system this time for "unforgettable"! Everyone was happy with their meal and we made better dessert choices this time. Can't really go wrong with frozen yogurt!

Our final morning we woke up, packed and had to head to the airport. We still had 6 snack credits to use up so we went to the food court and got 3 orders of biscuits and gravy, a side of sausage, and another cereal and milk (no pic of this one). We also took our cupcake from Earl of Sandwich to the food court and shared it as a last dessert.

Now Woody was pretty smart when he ordered: He ordered his gravy on the side. Then he ate his biscuits with jelly (provided free as a condiment) instead of gravy. Wheezy and I had already been through the line and wished we would have thought of doing that! So keep that in mind if you have snack credits to use and don't want the gravy. 2 biscuits for a snack credit and then you can add jelly/butter/peanut butter/whatever.

That sausage was pretty strong. Jesse actually ended up eating one but the other 2 were just tasted and then left to rot. noone really liked them. Should have got a mickey krispie treat for home!;)

We all took a bite of the cupcake as a last hoo-rah. By this time in the trip even the kids were sick of sweets and one bite was good enough for everyone.

We rated POFQ breakfast an "F" on the U.F.O. scale for "forgettable".

Here's a few law pics of things we didn't make into the report anywhere else or things we didn't even buy:

IMG_3752.jpg

I almost got this cupcake instead of the cookie from the German caramel shop. I'm glad I didn't. It looks good but that chocolate cookie was really good.

IMG_2472.jpg

Really cute mickey/minnie rice crispie treats from Goofy's. Ridiculously overpriced and I doubt anyone actually buys them, but they are really cute!

IMG_2534.jpg

Fruit cups that were good for snacks/desserts. We got quite a few throughout as snacks.

IMG_3055.jpg

chocolate cake from sunshine seasons. Very dense cake but really good!

IMG_3058.jpg

chocolate croissant from sunshine seasons. very good!

So here's where it all ends. I thought I'd end with sharing what I consider the award winner are for best and worst...

Here are the worsts:

Worst entree definitely goes to the magical levitating potatoes with dog meat at CRT's (table service) and the worst table service was Earl of Sandwiches just because I thought it wasn't good value and the staff was unhelpful

Worst dessert of the trip was a tie. The key lime pie from Coral Reef (service choice) and the plain dry cheesecake from Wolfgang Pucks (counter service choice):

Best meal was the salmon from Wolfgang Pucks (counter service choice) and the leek soup from Rose and Crown (table service choice)--keep in mind the soup was an appetizer though. not a main course!:)
IMG_3886.jpg
IMG_3216.jpg

Best desserts of the trip were the lemon pie from Rose and Crown (table service choice) and the strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons (counter service choice).

We enjoyed eating in The World and hope you enjoy it too!:dance3:

This was a great review series. I enjoyed reading it a lot! Thanks for sharing!

Awesome job with the Dining report! Loved the grading system! I could not go to the next page until I read every word. You have a very lovely family! Thank you for sharing! :yay:

Man, all I can say about your meal at CRT is :scared1:

Wolfgang Pucks looks like it is a must do on our next trip! The pizza and salmon there look delicious!

All in all, wonderful reviews! Thanks so much for sharing! :goodvibes

You'll love Wolfgangs! Good luck picking between the pizza and salmon. I say do the salmon first!

Thank you. I agree that my family is wonderful. I have been blessed!

No problem! Hope it was helpful!

I just want to let you know I've been enjoying your report and photos.
I really want to try Wolfgang Pucks now, thanks to your reviews. :)

Thanks for your reviews! We are doing some similar places on our trip. That's a bummer about the Earl of Sandwich sides - they should definitely let you choose from the other sides as well! And I love their sandwiches so that's disappointing.

We are also doing CRT... I've heard all the awful food reviews, but even though I'm 23 and no kids I just want the experience of eating in the castle! ;)

Awesome review! I liked that you were able to post your reviews really quickly as opposed to some that I've seen where you have to go through several pages or wait a fair while until the next dining entry. Thanks for taking the time! :goodvibes

Wow, just found your reviews today and read it all in one sitting. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to take all the pictures and write such a detailed and organized report. You've given me lots of ideas for our trip next week...

You all seem like a wonderful family and I agree that your kids are adorable.

Great reviews, really informative and interesting. Thanks!

Just caught up with the rest of your report - thank you for posting such detailed and fun reviews. :hippie:

Sorry that CRT was such a disappointment for you all. Those potatoes looked like decorations not meant to be eaten! :scared1: We've only had breakfast and lunch there and they were both good (not fabulous, but we certainly managed to eat the food and not leave hungry.)

I'm hungry now - but it's bedtime here in the UK so I guess I'm outta luck. :rolleyes1

thanks for taking the time to review (liked your rating system). i can't wait to go back to the karmel shop. That cookie looked amazing. Our famly loves wpe also. great use of a cs credit. looks like you had a great trip. I have to wait until oct - but at least we are going.;)

Our chef wasn't the best. She wasn't being as entertaining as other chef's around the room. What really bugged me though was she wasn't cooking the different aspects of the meal to where they would all be done at once. Our meal was fed to us in "shifts". First everyone got noodles to start out with. About 10 minutes later the shrimp was done for those of us who ordered it. Then chicken was another 10 minutes later. She didn't even start the steak until all of the chicken/shrimp was off the grill so that wasn't served for another 15 minutes! It made eating awkward since you only got part of your meal. I wanted my steak and shrimp at the SAME time, not separately. Poor Woody and me, by the time we got our steak the kids were long done and ready to go! I was watching around the room and the other chefs were timing the cooking so that EVERYTHING was done and served at the same time--from the noodles to all meats. They got served their entire meals at once. Maybe our chef was a trainee???? For those of you who are used to Hibachi grills there really wasn't much of a show. I've seen better locally.
They do not light the volcanoes with fire either. Just let it smoke a little.

Anyway, we loved the food when we got it. Wheezy LOVED swordfish and even enjoyed the veggies I thought he'd put his nose up to like the mushrooms. Jesse loved the chicken, noodles, and rice but picked around the mushrooms, onions, and other veggies on the plate. The shrimp I had was just so-so. They were tiny and rubbery. I'd skip those next time. The steak was good though. Noodles were okay. Sticky rice was awesome. There were dipping sauces too but they were all to strong for my taste! I had the ginger cake for dessert. Again, to strong for me to finish. Everyone else opted for the frozen yogurt.

Sorry about the pics. A lot of the plates look "incomplete" because the food was being served/eaten in shifts. Didn't work out too well really.

We gave Teppan Edo an "F" on the U.F.O. scale. We liked the food a lot and it was fun for our kids but we've been to better Hibachi grills with more entertainment and eating our food in shifts was just plain sad.

From what I have noticed that is how all japanese steakhouses are. They don't give you your food at once, it is served in shifts. I just got back from Teppan and it was the same way as it is at my local japanese steakhouse.

I totally agree with you about the entertainment. Our chef was not good at all!! He barely talked and didn't do anything funny. The onion thing was just smoke too, no fire. It was pretty dissapointing!
