There have been many detailed reports and rumors about what the next POTC movie will be about. Let me state some facts. I talked to a major concept artist who will work on the film and he said they will not start doing anything until Spring of next year. He is clueless about any plots or details. If anything, there is an outline for a script and that is very changable. Yes it is confirmed about POTC 4, but at this point, that is all. So for those who like to assume things and then later turn assumptions into facts, I hope this stops you in your tracks.

Cause they have not even hired many of the writers in the first place. It all starts at human resources and they have barely began. The signing of Depp was a condition that the writers gave before they started their part. End of story.

Not to belabor the argument, but if they haven't hired the writers, how could it have been a condition that Depp be signed before they start writing?

Of course, you need to know that your major star(s) are signed in order to write for their characters.

For some reason, I have a feeling that the producers will say, "Have Captain Jack do some cool things" and start filming before the writers have actually come up with a plot, and make it up as they go along...

Kinda funny if they have no stry yet ....why are they already hiring actors???

I would guess its because its a sequel and unlike the smart people who did the last complete Batman series they haven't replaced the actors with each movie. If you haven't enough of the signature characters why even bother to start?
