To CSR or not to CSR

I'm almost convinced about staying at CSR on our trip next year. But I had a couple of questions and/or concerns. I know that Buzz will be more than ready to help push me over that edge. ;) Anyway, here are my concerns.

1. There may be five of us on this trip (five adults, that is). So we'll definitely need either two rooms or a junior suite. I did the pricing and the junior suite is slightly more than the cost of two rooms. I find this odd since it's quite obvious that the junior suites are basically two connecting rooms. I mean, if there was a microwave setup like at ASM, then I'd seriously consider it. Is there an advantage to the junior suites that I'm missing?

2. If we stay there, I'd definitely prefer the Cabanas, given their close proximity to everything. I would imagine a lot of people request the Cabanas for this reason. So, how hard is it to get the Cabanas? And if I don't get it and wind up way out in Ranchos, how long is the walk to Pepper Market? Casitas, I could handle just fine, but Ranchos just seems really far.

3. We always do the DDP. Rumored changes to the DDP notwithstanding, how easy is the DDP when used at Pepper Market? Largely, we'd probably be eating breakfast there, but we may partake in a dinner there as well.

4. We do not rent a car, using Disney transportation solely. How long are the bus rides to the parks on average?

I think that covers it. Like I said, I'm "this close" to deciding to stay there, I just need some reassurance about it.

Casitas, I could handle just fine, but Ranchos just seems really far. The walk around the whole lake is one mile so the farthest it could be is a 1/2 mile. Rancho 7b is also a good option. I've gotten the cabanas 7 out of nine times.

Largely, we'd probably be eating breakfast there, but we may partake in a dinner there as well. Were else can you get a ribeye steak or prime rib dinner for a CS credit. The PM is the best value on the DDP.

4. We do not rent a car, using Disney transportation solely. How long are the bus rides to the parks on average? Ak and MGM and 5 min rides. Epcot is 7 mins and MK is 10 mins.
