To Croc or Not To Croc?

so much I might "Marry Them".

I was one of those Croc Scorners, How dumb do those look and so on...

But I saw the light and was saved by the Crocs at a Scrapbooking event in November. My Tennis shoes were killing me and I only had about 10 minutes to find something else. I ran into the local sporting goods store and walked out in a new pair of Black Crocs.

I was converted to the "walk of the Croc" and I wear them everyday when I get off work and take off my torture shoes and all weekend long.

Occasionally, I hear someone whispering about how dumb they look and I smile inside.

BTW. Disney Crocs on the way for DS and ME.

I saw someone put a post that they wanted to get into the croc culture...

it's like walking on air, and you get a foot massage everytime because of the little knobs on the footbed.....with or without sox...doesn't matter

#1 DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THE KNOCK OFF'S...they don't fit the same,,Dicks Sporting Goods,,you can by them online too if they have them but first you need to go try them on and find the right fit..

#2 DO NOT BUY THEM AT WAL MART,,they are not the real onces,,,Crocs have a TM,,,there's a small button on the side with the image of a croc,,that's how to tell the real ones...

#3 DO NOT BUY THEM 2 SIZES TOO SMALL.....you may get away with one size but not 2 sizes.....they will stretch a bit and form to your feet..

once you find your size if they don't have them order them online,,,but shop around,,some of the nurses sites have them now too......

Where to get them:

www.rei.com

wwwdicksportingoods.com

www.crocs.com

(they actually have the mickey crocs on their front page that says to click here for kids though)

I would love to buy a pair of these.. but they are so expensive.. at least for me. I might splurge and get some before our disney trip.. i do wish i could find them cheaper though!

hi - I love my crocs!!! I have a pair of beach, mary jane, disney, cayman and scutes. I tried the flip flop ones, but they werent comfie for me - others love them though! i also have some airwalks from payless which i love. i think it all depends on the feel you like - i do know that other target/walmart ones are very hard to my feet....if i had to put them in order of comfort....
scutes (they have a double cushioned heel - love them in the parks)
caymans
disney
airwalks
mary janes
beach,,,,

now this is just how my feet feel in them - to me the beach/disney ones ran a little smaller than the caymans...so you may want to try them on first. i love my scutes though - they are the most comfie thing to my wide flat foot that i have ever worn!!!

try 'em - you might just like them too!!!:thumbsup2

i have a 2 pair of caymens....i haven't tried any of the other styles.

i did a google search this am to see if there were any specials under nursing gear/supplies also went to the following sites:

went to:

www.crocs.com

www.dickssportinggoods.com

www.rei.com

www.zappos.com (claiming free shipping and free return shipping)

i've also checked out target.com,,,,TARGET DOES NOT HAVE THE REAL CROCS,,THEY HAVE THE KNOCK OFFS,,you'd think they'd have the real ones...

they are all priced around $30.00, crocs.com was the most expensive @ $35.00 for caymen style.

8 days to go :cool1:

I have a pair of black maryjane's and found that my arches hurt after wearing them for a while. I am a tried and true Birkenstock girl but always looking for another pair of comfortable (although ugly) shoe! Anyone else have trouble with arch pain with the Crocs? I would like to try to scutes but am afraid I won't like them, either. BTW - I have the Airwalks from Payless and I do like those!

Hey guys,

Being from Australia I have NO idea what Crocs are. They sounds very interesting - especially considering we'll be trekking through the World this November for 22 days and nights.

What sort of Crocs would you recommend for theme park trekking and do you need to "wear-them-in" first?

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated (that's my feet talking!).

Regards.

how much are the Disney crocs going in WDW?

What is special about the Mickey pairs? are they the ones with the mouse ears as holes? How much do they run in the parks?? I have a pair and am sooo excited to wear them to the parks! Do I need a mickey pair?!

you can get them for like $35 at crocs.com. my DH and i always order ours directly from crocs.com and they ship relatively quickly and we've never had a problem.

someone recently posted where you can get them with $10 off at amazon.com (or something like that). the name of the thread was 'good deal on crocs' or something similar.

check them out on www.crocs.com not sure how much your shipping will be to down under though, or if they deliver to austrailia?

you may have to check out some other sites,,,if you have an outdoor store that caters to rock climbing enthusiats, you may be able to find them there first....they're base out of Denver Colorado and a lot of the climbing shops started carrying them for the easy slip on/off into climbing shoes.

go to the website first and make sure that if you do find them you are finding the real crocs.

crocs do not come in 1/2 sizes,,,so get the size smaller,,,,i.e. us measurements: i'm somewhere between a 10 1/2 to 11....i bought the size 10,,they will stretch and form to your foot....if it is hot out and your feet are sweating make sure you have sox with you,,,they can get a bit slick inside and turn your foot around,,,happen to me durring the summer...

good luck,,,you'll need to find your shoe size,,,,US measurement,,,

I second the vote for Scutes. They are wonderful. I haven't found any other Crocs as comfortable. I have a pair of Crocs Reliefs on order...hoping for a closed toe shoe as comfy as Scutes!

My husband and I finally went out to the mall and bought some today. We both got the Cayman style. We wanted something for our Disney trip.. but something that would stay on good for riding rides and stuff. Does Disney World have any inverted rides? I may get a couple more in different colors before the trip! I love them! and even my husband loves them!!

i ordered a new pair and received them in the mail today. they're the mary jane style and they're sooooo cute! more girly than the others. i got chocolate and i think i'm gonna order a pair of black ones, too. i had the cayman style in taupe and i love those also, but these are just more "me." :cutie:

I think i want some black ones in the endeavor style.. they would look a little dressier I think.. to go with things that aren't so casual.

can anyone tell me what the difference is between the beach and the cayman? cause they looked identical to me in style.. just that design around them was different and the way they were sized.

Don't know if it is true generally, but my Beach is wider than my Cayman. I like the fit for me of the Cayman better.
