To check in online at CBR/POR.... or not ??

As of today, I am able to check in online for CBR (8 more days!

Is it beneficial to do so? Last year I didn't do it, and had no lines whatsoever at POR. The year before I went with a grand gathering. I checked in online for everyone, but for some odd reason the computer wouldn't let me do it for my family. And don't you know, I got through faster than they did lol!

So what's the scoop...online or in person check in?

I always use online check-in. I think a plus is that your documents are ready for you when you get there. You're right that there are usually no lines at regular check-in, but you never know.

Online check-in is good as long as you don't have any type of special request. If you have a request of any kind, I would check in at the lobby instead of online.

We did on-line check in at Pop 2 years ago and when I got up to the desk and found they had us in the 80's I was bummed. I politely asked if it was possible to get a room anywhere but the 80's. We had two rooms together too! She was fine with swithching us to the 70's but we had to wait a bit longer to get into our room. We arrived around 10:00 am and our rooms were ready in the 80's. But by the time we went and had something to eat and wandered the shop the rooms were ready (about 11:30).

On-line check in saves the time that they would otherwise spend entering all your info - address, phone, credit card etc. and you are more likely to have a room ready and waiting if you've done on-line check in. They still seem to try to accommodate requests if you are willing to take the time when you get there and be flexible about when your room is available.
